Wireworld Stratus 7 Power Cable
The Stratus 7 is an entry level upgrade power cord which features Oxygen-free copper conductors and molded connectors with silver-clad copper alloy. A perfect choice for entry level Audio systems and Video displays.
All of the Series 7 cables feature Composilex 2 insulation technology, which minimizes the triboelectric noise produced by conventional insulation materials. Many understand that insulation materials influence the performance of a cable. Wireworld created unique polymer composites designed specifically to optimize fidelity. Wireworld makes some great and well-respected products. The build quality is good, with the six gang having adjustable mounting brackets, which were handy for mounting under my desk. The Stratus 7 Chord is a good thick gauge and a flat profile, so convenient for cable management.
At this price point I don't believe any other manufacturer has a comparable product. The only slight gripe I have is that the sockets are too close together to be able to use smart plugs like Samsung SmartThings side by side, which I wanted to do to reduce power surges to speakers when switching on other devices such as sound cards.
As for the difference it makes, you need to be running a fairly high-end set-up to notice the difference. If you have cheaper speakers and low cost speaker and interconnect cables, you might be hard pressed to hear the difference.
For me, I'm running Chord Clearway interconnects, Mogami Gold Studio monitor cables and Chord Shawline X speaker cable using Output Frontier studio monitors and also a Denon amp with Wharfedale Evo speakers. I swapped out the power cables that were powering my monitors, my Denon DJ equipment and my Denon amplifier. The soundstage has been increased in size, providing me with clearer separation in the sounds and has allowed me to hear nuances in the sound I had not heard before as well as tightening up my mixing when DJing.
I combined these power blocks with the PS Audio AC3 power cables, which has also reduced the floor on the white noise from the powered studio monitors. I would highly recommend these power cables at a price point that should give you a pleasing improvement for the money paid.

I've always been a skeptic about mains power delivery, its 240V and there's ample current available, so what can a thick cable do? However, I've read more and more and then found myself spending £8m on an unswitched MK double socket. Could I hear a difference into my £8k hifi, no, but I was reassured that I was giving it the best treatment. Then of course as hifi grew I was short of sockets to plug boxes into. I read a lot again and this product the WireWorld Matrix 2 was mentioned positively many times because it's star-wired which allows my Naim boxes to have a shared and consistent ground plane. And it was a reasonable price: £203 for a plug board, compared to £5 for a standard one from a hardware store.
Well I plugged it in to my unswitched double MK socket, plugged my 5 Naim boxes into it, switched them on and queued up my favourite tracks. My immediate thought (ok, maybe took 30s) was `liquid gold'. The music just seemed to be a rich flow from between the speakers to over me. I'll be buying another one in a few months time for my other non-Naim components (Sonos, Rega Ear, standard lamp).
Well I plugged it in to my unswitched double MK socket, plugged my 5 Naim boxes into it, switched them on and queued up my favourite tracks. My immediate thought (ok, maybe took 30s) was `liquid gold'. The music just seemed to be a rich flow from between the speakers to over me. I have waited a week to let this sink in for a review. I can report that this is a great value well made brilliant upgrade and starting point, foundation for all Hi-Fi I can imagine.
I got this combo as the Naim forum and Naim I hear recommend this. Superb improvement from my Tacima block I had for yonks. My Uniti atom nap 200dr/uniti core perform well. I also got the rhodium wall socket too so this combo combined gave me a really really fast sounding punchy bass superb highs quite surprised to be honest, so yes ,it works and works very well with this gear I have.
I would like to go for even better cables now just to fine tune and release that last bit from the Naim gear.
Thanks again to the peeps at future shop, been going hear for years.very professional service reliable will shop very very soon for more Hi-Fi treats. Many thanks.

I had previously replaced the stock power leads on my Cambridge CXA 60 Amp and Marantz Dac 1 with Merlin Huntsman power leads and noticed an instant improvement in the overall sound, so decided to take the plunge and ordered the Wireworld Stratus 7 Power Cable & Matrix v2 Combo. Was blown away with the results.
This is just power,right? Fuller Bass, clearer Mids and Highs with a much wider Soundstage. So much so that I have ordered Audioquest NRG X3 power leads and Audioquest Sydney RCA interconnects to get the best out of my System. I was sceptical before making the changes, but cables really do make a massive improvement.

Just about to install cable when l noticed a rattle in the mains plug. After consulting Future cables decided to open the plug to investigate. Earth terminal screw had come out completely and was lodged in the top half of the plug. I put the screw back in and tightened the live and neutral terminals which l found to be loose. Very discerning . Very pleased with end results though once repaired and installed

A few years ago, after taking advice from futureshop, I bought a pair of Stratus 7 power cables and Matrix v2 power blocks, which I ‘mothballed.’ During the intervening years, I have been updating and upgrading the components in my HiFi system, and adding the finishing touches, with the intention of introducing the Wireworld combo when I had finished. With the system finally completed a couple of weeks ago, I connected the Stratus 7’s and Matrix blocks, thinking it was highly unlikely, if not impossible, that there would be any difference in the sound. After all, aren’t all mains cables the same? I turned the TV on, and as usual, had the sound playing through the HiFi. I forgot all about the ’new’ power cables. During the evening, I felt I was hearing more clarity and detail, but thought it was weird. Must be my ears! In the morning I played some very familiar music, and again I was hearing more clarity and detail.
The bass was punchier, tighter, and more accurate. The mids were revealing things I hadn’t heard before, and treble was sweeter. It felt as though I was listening to a different system with more expensive equipment. Back to the TV, and I realised that it wasn’t my ears. My cynicism disappeared, and I realised that the cables and power blocks were making a huge improvement. I wish I had fitted them when I first got them! For me, this has been a revelation and an education. I am so grateful for futureshop’s advice.
I’ve bought another combo set for my AV setup. In future I intend to be more open minded, and not so eager to listen to the naysayers!

Class piece of equipment as has become the norm for Wireworld products. Use it for the visual side of my AV and the LG OLED has a beautifully natural and deep colour. This also extends to the blu ray pictures from both sources significantly improved. Did the switch back test to normal mains and yes there is a significant difference. Highly recommended for cleaner clearer audio and visual.
The power cable is very stiff and difficult to pos.....

The Matrix unit only works if a separate earth is fitted from underneath a self tapper that also secures the endplate, not even a tag or a terminal or proper instructions just a cryptic sticker on the base. Would have been nice to have it working straight out of the box.
The Matrix once connected does improve the performance of all connected units.

I am not in a position to review the items purchased as am still getting my system back in commission,it's been in mothballs for fifteen years(Thorens TD125/2/ SME 3012,Quad 303/33 Rogers Export Monitor LS3/6 Speakers).I know Wireworld products are really top notch so I don't think I will have any problems.I will be purchasing some QED speaker cable and a Dynavecter 10/5 cartridge from Futurshop in the not to distant future,brilliant service.
