Tellurium Blue Diamond (formerly known as Green) is the companion cable to Tellurium Ultra Black and is probably more suitable for slightly bright systems as they have a very slight “mellowing” effect. This can be particularly beneficial with class D and T amplifiers.
This cable has been significantly improved from its original well reviewed green jacketed version. The original green jacketed design had a ridiculously long burn in time before it showed its silky best and displayed what it could do. Often its “un burnt in” performance was so far from what the fully burnt in version was capable of that it was like two different cables.
Tellurium redesigned the cable to keep its top performance but slash the burn in time and as a consequence its overall performance has improved too.

Termination:
Each speaker cable is terminated to a high standard by Tellurium’s Engineers in the UK using quality banana or spade plugs. With recommend customers use Tellurium’s gold-plated banana plugs where possible. The design of this connector achieves a full 360° of contact when it’s inserted into a binding post maximising signal flow from the cable into the plug and then from the plug into the binding post.
How to Order

- Cable Compatibility: We regret to inform you that we cannot burn-in cables with stripped bare ends or BFA plugs. In order for cables to undergo the burn-in process, they should be terminated or have connectors.
- Timing: Cables will be burnt in for the selected period after processing your order. For custom-length cables, the burn-in process will occur after they have been terminated by the manufacturer or our engineers unless specified otherwise in the product description.
- Availability: Future Shop provides our cable burn-in service free of charge, but its availability is at our discretion. While we strive to fulfil all burn-in requests for the specified time periods, please understand that during exceptionally busy periods, we may be unable to meet the demand due to limited connections on the Nordost Vidar cable conditioning machines.
The Nordost VIDAR cable burn-in machine integrates three key functions into one operation:
- Charge Neutralisation: It eliminates charges that accumulate around the cables and their insulation, ensuring a more balanced electrical environment.
- Deep Conditioning: The machine provides a wide band and deep conditioning process that affects the conductor core, resulting in changes to the signal transmission through the metal. This deep conditioning enhances the cable's performance.
- Ultrasonic Surface Conditioning: The VIDAR machine utilizes ultrasonic waves to condition the surface of the conductors, optimizing their contact and overall conductivity.
The VIDAR employs a proprietary combination of composite and complex signals to condition the cables. These cables have an unusual sound compared to the norm. Where most cables strive for extension and detail, Tellurium’s focus is on making music.
This theory they have about “eliminating phase distortion” is evident in these cables. They are silky smooth, almost sounding a bit veiled, but in fact, they have very high levels of detail. The midrange is gorgeous, full of rich, colourful harmonics, and the bass has great weight and detail. The way the music flows with excellent timing is fantastic. The soundstage is the real kicker here, though; it’s HUGE! Their decay of sound is top-notch with these cables, which really aid in creating that effect of space. Imaging is pinpoint and clean as a whistle. If I had to give them a mild negative, it would be that the bass is just a tiny bit rounded off in my system.
Without trying other connections or a different amp, I can’t comment on whether it’s 100% to do with my system, but directly compared to other cables I’ve owned, they’re definitely a touch softer.
Overall, they are cables that have zero hardness or harshness. They have a slightly mellow but very detailed and musical sound. I can play my hifi seriously loud with no problem at all, and I can't say that about most of the cables I’ve owned in the past. They are hard to get, but a home demo is worthwhile, as they really do have a different sound.

I’m not a scientist, so I can’t explain how a cable can be responsible for such an improvement in the sound quality, but it’s absolutely amazing.

You have to listen to this cable to see if it suits your system. If your system is a bit too harsh and forward for you, this will bring it back to a more balanced sound.
For my ears however, I found the loss of energy and pace too big a trade off for the warmer sound. Good system pairing required....

Received the TelluriumQ Blue Diamond last week, can’t wait to hook it up onto my 2-Channel system, it gives you a bigger and more 3D soundstage, a lot of details and more solid bass. Unlike Ultra Blue and Blue, I do think Blue Diamond is good for a 2-channel system who looks for a warmer and detail more sound !
