What Tacima say
This is a new improved version of our previous Design which over the years received Five Stars and several Awards from WHAT HI FI the UKs best known HI FI magazine. The Tacima CS947 6-way mains conditioner smooths the mains supply and eliminates mains interference and filters out any RFI (radio frequency interference) creeping in from other electronics such as washing machines, wifi routers, mobile phones and microwaves. This allows your electronics to perform at their best with noticeable improvements in detail and clarity and reduce poor quality, noisy mains power can easily spoil the performance of your hifi and home cinema systems.
Surge Protection
Three Channel protection - absorbing mains surges and spikes which can cause permanent damage to your valuable equipment.
Gas Tube Protection
Gas Discharge tube technology is used to satisfy the latest safety requirements for Surge Protectors.
Thermal Protection
Internal Thermal Fusing prevents the circuit from dangerous overheating in the event of a worse case Surge/Spike scenario.
Screened Mains Lead
Prevents the mains lead from acting as an Ariel and so injecting interference into your system.
Filter Status Test
Mains Conditioners do not have any indicating lights on during normal use as this can effect the performance so we have introduced a test button for your piece of mind. Pressing the button briefly should illuminate a Green Status Light, indicating the Mains Conditioner filter is operational, has not been damaged or seriously degraded and all layers of protection are intact. On releasing the test button the green light will go off and the Mains Conditioner will be fully operational and function as normal.
Technical Information
Their filters are specifically designed to combat both “Asymmetrical” as well as “Symmetrical” interference, both being effectively suppressed by the introduction of High Frequency Capacitors and a single Choke In addition we have also incorporated an Earth Line Choke to stop interference through the mains earth line, finally we use an Screened Mains Cable to eliminate the effects of radiated noise interference.

UK Delivery
1. We use Royal Mail 1st Class Services as a Standard Postage Option
Orders received before 4.30pm Monday to Friday (excluding Bank Holidays) are usually dispatched the same day by FIRST CLASS post (unless premium postal or timed courier services are selected), subject to stock availability. Over 98% of our orders are usually delivered the next working day including Saturdays.
Standard delivery is usually within 2-3 working days, although 98% of all orders are delivered the next working day including Saturdays . In extreme cases, such as delivery to the Highlands and Islands, this may take 3 days.

Some places take longer to deliver to but we still guarantee delivery within three working days by 5.30 PM.
For the Next Day Special Delivery service, orders must be received by futureshop.co.uk by 4.30pm weekdays. Orders after the 4.30pm deadline cannot be guaranteed for same day dispatch.

I was sceptical about this, in honesty, but I needed a power block with a good surge protector. This, however, is very good indeed, as not only does it surge protect, but it has definitely made a difference to my hi-fi, slightly smoothing out the treble and a small but noticeable tightening of the bass.

This is the second set of Tacima 6-way conditioners I bought! It does significantly reduce the annoying interference and produces a cleaner sound.
Due to its sensitivity, I found different positioning of the connecting pre-amplifier power wire over or at the side of the Tacima transparent window shelf would result in different degrees of interference reduction.
I used the first Tacima for my CD, LP connection and a second set for the tube preamplifier alone so that I do not need to switch on/off the Hifi equipment every time, but switch on/off the electricity power source which connected the Tacima. By doing so, the switch life of Hifi systems could be prolonged.
This process/set-up would be extremely useful, particularly for antique Hifi equipment like CD players, tube preamplifiers, etc, as the old switch once died, we could hardly find a replacement which would lose the authenticity. I strongly recommend our Hifi lovers to have this magic tool.
However, my experience is that if your set-up is good and gets rid of interference already, then having or not having Tacima will not show any difference.

I was quite surprised at the difference the Tacima mains conditioner has made to my hi-fi system, any background noise has gone, and it all sounds much clearer.
4 Star instead of 5 only because it would be improved, in my opinion, if each socket was individually switched.

I recently purchased a powered USB hub for the PC in my home office (to tidy a jungle of USB devices connected to all of the PC's USB ports!). Thus I needed an extension-lead with additional sockets, plus I thought I really ought to get one one which incorporated surge-protection; also I've been doing numerous 'Zoom' calls during lockdown, which have sometimes had a lot of hum/interference and so I decided to get this Tacima extension-lead which also incorporates conditioning/filtering circuitry.
Having done a 'before' and 'after' test Zoom recording, I'm pleased to say the Tacima seems to have cleaned up the sound/interference, and also when I play my music files on my PC, the sound-quality of those seems to have improved, too. The product is very well-made, with a sturdy plastic casing and a robust mains cable. I am happy to recommend this product to others.

Budget conditioner freeing up cloudy low frequencies and inhibited timing. Resolution/focus quite an improvement , but won't improve bright harsh high frequency in budget kit, may even highlight sharper notes. Worth every penny though,, if electricity supply is spiking and tripping the mains board fuses regular, Save your equipment from wear and tear. I recommend, great product for the price and a good safety inclusion.

Bought the previous version a few years ago in Singapore. That's still in use here now in Abu Dhabi. These seemed very well built and blends in well with the equipment I have. Currently using it to power my Yamaha A-S2100 amp, CA CXA80 and CA 8200CD. I always believe a little protection and filtering must help somehow. Yes, I would recommend this product. I was using a basic 4 gang extension.... I just wanted a decent 6 gang version and thought it may be better to get this due it's potential improvement in sound and picture to my rather expensive home theatre kit. I now find myself unable to adjust the picture on my Samsung 6 series TV to my liking... the whites are too intense, the blacks too dark, skin tone is pale while other colours are too intense... I only expected a subtle difference but now I find it fatiguing to watch TV, gone back to my old extension for now.

Having used surge protection for many years after a cassette deck(remember them) blew a few components, due to a power surge, I thought I'd go for this conditioner on my newish A/V kit as it supposedly could improve sound@vision.
I was sceptical about the vision bit but I have to say it has made a positive difference, on the overall sound.and the picture quality has improved also, albeit very slightly though.But for thirty something quid, I'm happy. Recommended.

No more snap, crackle and pop!. The only difference I have noticed in regard to the sound quality of my hi-fi system is that the dynamics seem to be slightly suppressed, but I have noticed that there is no more sonic interferance from any other electrical devices switching on and off in my house. It is well made with a sturdy construction for the money. I am also pleased to know now that my hi-fi system is fully protected from any electrical spikes or surges. A very good product at the price.
