The Best of Two Worlds Power & Precision ECO MKII linear audio upgrade power supply (BOTW P&P ECO) is the successor of Sbooster's BOTW P&P ECO, which was introduced in the summer of 2015. The BOTW P&P ECO upgrade power supply combines power, precision and efficiency in a unique innovative manner and is the best choice for every audiophile.
With the BOTW P&P ECO audio upgrade, the purification of the current starts immediately there where the polluted current enters the upgrade. The dual-stage mains filter and an earth line choke clean the current from high-frequency pollution before the current reaches the transformer. The transformer is a custom-made audio grade transformer with electrostatic shielding and is magnetically shielded.
The electronic design is innovative: it gets 50% more output out of the used electronics and consumes even up to 35% less energy than a conventional design. The BOTW P&P ECO audio upgrade concept is so efficient that it consumes only a bit more energy than the standard supplied high efficient, but also highly polluting switch mode adapter. It costs you annually a couple of euro extra on your energy bill for a priceless sound experience.
Finally, at the end of the DC cable, the unique split current system has been placed. The power supply of the BOTW P&P ECO audio upgrade provides the split current system with continuous powerful and clean power, so the electronics can do their job profoundly, which is to buffer the power, so that the power supply becomes very fast, and to filter one last time the voltage and current before they enter the audio device.

Just to add what everyone else has said about the Sbooster. When used with my Chord Qutest DAC, the results are incredible. Straight out of the box cold, the improvements weren't subtle.
If you're on the fence about getting the Sbooster, don't be. Just grab one, and you won't regret it. I ordered the ultra add on and mini USB adapter at the same time.
Definitely 100% recommended when used with the Qutest DAC.

I bought this to upgrade my Chord Qutest. All I’ll say is buy this without hesitation. Great improvement over the standard power supply, and you would happily pay double for the improvement in sound.
It’s a bargain, and with the 60-day return from Future Shop, it’s a no-brainer. I don’t see you sending it back as the difference is that good.

It went in at more or less the same time as I upgraded the pre-amp, speakers and CD transport. However, the overall benefit to the sound was so great, that I'm crediting the SBooster as playing a part there.

I received the Sbooster BOTW MKII Linear Power Supply earlier today, and it has been playing in my system for around 5 hours.
I have to say I'm really impressed by what I've heard so far. The Qutest DAC performance has improved in every way, but the transient attack is the most notable improvement, and general clarity and detail have also improved. If you want more from Your Chord Qutest, this is definitely the way to go.

My initial impressions of this were not great. It really needs time to 'burn in', whatever that means! After three or four days, it really started to shine, powering my Qutest.
I also have the Ultra addition. For the Qutest, the Ultra needs to be set to 6V, and with this done, it is a superb upgrade overall.
The instructions were less than clear, but I got there in the end.

I expected an improvement compared to the stock Qutest power supply but not of this magnitude. This makes the Qutest sound like a £2-3k Dac.
Qutest with Sbooster plus the Ultra upgrade connected to my Naim Uniticore sounds nearly as good as my Krell Evo505 SACD player. The Sbooster supplied power cord is very good but changing the 13amp fuse to an SR Red or Black is worthwhile. Sbooster is a massive upgrade for the Qutest. 5 stars? More like 10.

I was looking a dedicated PSU for my Chord Qutest, for a while . I was using a separate anker power bank to power the unit, but needed something that I did not need to charge up . The power bank did a great job with supplying the much needed 5 v, giving a nice clear sound , with great clean high and mids . I felt that the Qutest needed a bit more punch on the lower end .
With the new PSU the sound is amazing, showing authority, and a nice grip on the music. It really gives the digital stream a grippy vinyl sound .

I purchased the sbooster to power a Allo.com USBridge Signature.
I was slightly unsure whether the sbooster would make a material difference to a streamer that costs significantly less than this power supply.
The USBridge Signature need a USB C connection adaptor which was not included with the sbooster. Luckily, I had one suppled by Allo. Compared with using a basic switch mode supply the use of the Sbooster greatly improved the sound presentation.
The usual hi-fi descriptions can be applied to this (e.g., reduced noise floor, opened up soundstage, more detailed bass, smoother high notes etc etc).
I am using the Allo USBridge with a Marantz NA11S1 DAC and a Bryston BHA-1 Balanced Headphone Amplifier.
For myself, the improvement experienced was akin to upgrading a DAC or amplifier. One finds oneself listening for longer periods with less fatigue and greater enjoyment.

Bought this on the basis of all the positive reviews read about its benefits with the Chord Qutest DAC. Still only a few hours in, so more to come from both the PSU and the DAC. The whole set up is excellent, straight out of the boxes. The Booster is a substantial PSU, and it needs a decent bit of room, so check the dimensions if you're buying, and find it a suitable space.

The Sbooster powers my Chord Qutest. Chord says their SMPS is fine. That’s true like beer is still beer if you don’t notice the difference between a good pint and a bad pint.
On first playback the Sbooster tightened the bass and soundstage widened. More instrument separation. Vocals lovely and clear. It takes a week of ‘always on’ for the Sbooster to burn in. It gets better so be patient and get even more reward.
NB. Casing is plastic which probably keeps costs down. Case is huge and ugly so you may need to keep it out of sight. It runs cool though.
Make sure Futureshop send you the micro USB plug as Sbooster don’t box it. They (Adam Senior) will look out for you.

After reading numerous positive reviews about the improvements that the Sbooster can bring to the Chord Qutest, and after discussing with Wiebren Draaijer of Sbooster, I ordered the Sbooster with hopes that I could realise those improvements. On receiving the unit, and connecting it in place of the Chinese SMPS provided with the Qutest, my doubts evaporated almost immediately - and after a 24/7 1-week burn-in, the improvements are solid and wonderful to hear.
Improvements are readily heard right across the frequency spectrum - but most noticeably, a deeper and more sharply defined bass, removal of the slight remaining harshness in some high frequency information, and a wider and deeper soundstage. When listening to classical music, placement of the instruments in the orchestra can be very clearly identified in the concert hall or studio.
The Qutest was a brilliant upgrade, but the Sbooster takes that significantly further.
For a Qutest, just be sure to ask for the additional free micro-USB plug to be included in the box. (and you need to be aware that use of the Sbooster could invalidate your Chord warranty)
