Long past trying to describe something as subjective as the sound of a cable. It brings enjoyable music to my ears and is substantial, well-constructed, and we’ll priced.

I recently bought a pair of QED RCA cables (and left a review) as I was blown away by the difference in sound compared to a pair of basic Cambridge Audio cables. These speaker cables, however, did not have the same impact. The upgrade in price per meter from my old cables was probably around £6 a meter. I also wanted the spade connectors for convenience and protection compared to bare wires. For me, my previous RCA cable scepticism remains, but for speaker cables, beyond protecting the signal, there doesn't seem to be really any difference in sound quality at this price point (under £100 for 3m of cable total plus spade connectors for both ends).

The actual service from future shop is excellent in terms of putting the cables together, with no faults at all, and I would continue to use their service.

The 3-star is more about the cables themselves. For reference, the system was Rotel A11 Tribute Amp, Cambridge Audio M200 Dac Tidal Hifi Plus source and Q Acoustics 3030i speakers. Each to their own about where the money is spent on a system as it's personal and specific to where you are currently at. Equally, it isn't a huge amount of money, so it was probably worth it for the convenience of the connectors and having an excellent cable that is easy to manage.

I needed two speaker cables, each a different length. The price seemed good, and the sound is fantastic.

I replaced some good-quality speaker cables with a pair of these QED XT 40i cables, and they have markedly improved the clarity and overall sound.

Although they are relatively expensive, I wholeheartedly recommend them.
