This cable is a great upgrade for my stereo system. I could hear the difference in sound quality immediately.

It matches my Q Acoustic speakers perfectly. The cable quality is excellent too.

I ordered 4 x 7m lengths of QED XT25 for the purpose of running under the floor and terminated at each end into a wall plate with binding posts and a screw fixing for the cable. I ordered the QED cables with stripped ends. Unfortunately, I was not aware that these QED cables were not suitable for using with binding posts and that they had to have special plugs at each end. Obviously not very happy with having to strip out these wires that had taken a day to install and the wasted expense of buying the cables. Therefore cannot use them at all but having said that, I cannot make any comment on their performance having not put them to the test.

I ordered 2x 3m of QED XT25 with airloc banana plugs.

They are much more expensive in Canada even with the exchange rate.

I used this to replace some old QED 79-strand cable. Frankly, I was sceptical that it could make any difference, but it did - I changed one side at a time, and I could hear the difference between the changed and old sides. Also, the measured resistance was zero ohms, compared to 0.9 ohms with the old cable - quite significant when in series with a 4-ohm speaker.

I bought gold-plated spade terminals off eBay for £5 and crimped them to the ends (be sure to connect to the copper, not the shielding).

Bought these as an upgrade for a pretty good set of 99.999% OFC cables. I have a 7.1 surround system with an older Yamaha amp at the core. The centre and front L and R speakers are connected with a QED XT40i, and the remaining are connected via the QED XT25. The QED Screwloc banana plugs are used for termination at both ends of the XT25 cables.

The sound from all speakers is much clearer, and there is a noticeable lift in mid and trebles.

I would recommend the QED XT25 and the XT40i as a moderately priced upgrades for any system.
