I noticed a significant improvement in treble and bass when I bought Chord Silver Screen (Mid ranges unchanged from QED micro) but in my particular room, i have to be careful with bass and the Chord cable made my system far too bass heavy and as I was bi-amping, I simply swapped the low cable for this QED Anniversary XT which solved the problem with the bass immediately. So I'd certainly recommend this cable if you want killer treble and clarity. If your bass needs seriously filled out then the Chord may be better, but if you are happy with your bass and want to fill out the mid and highs, use this one - a beautifully balanced cable.

I have connected my new rega Brio-R power amplifier to my focal 826 speakers. The older cables are used to connect the speakers to my onkyo home theater amplifier !

After almost a year with this cable, I'd like to review the first comment I put as I have been able to compare this cable with cables from other brands.

I found this cable extremly good at giving good music details however it also gives a very lean sound compared to competitors on the same price range. Therefore it doesn't suit all types of equipment.

I have now switch to Chord which gives me full satisfaction.

However, for the price Futurshop is selling this Qed Cable it still remain a good bargain.

Bought this cable to go with my marrantz 6003 cd and amp and wharfedale 10.1's, Previously was using some cambridge audio bi-wire cable and have to say the improvement i have heard with this new cable is great and worth the extra cash, sonically much better and with a lot more punch.

Also delivery was excellent ordered 2pm thursday with the standard postage option arrived 9-30 am friday, and it was well packaged.

NOTICEABLE DIFFERENCE IN TREBLE AND MID RANGE
Produce nice brightness to Treble and Mid, I didn’t feel – tell now – much difference in bass.
Use with caution in already bright systems. Mid range and Treble may become so bright – like losing some bass breath in them –
Good improvement in the sound quality overall.

My old cables (Norstone Classic CL150 15 m ) these cable recommending by the manufacture to be used for ( Small floorstanders, bookshelves and surround speakers ).
