The cable was purchased to replace some bi-wire Monster Cable that had lost its shine - literally. Well it was over 25 years old. The QED cable looked like a quality product and performs as such, I am now enjoying re-acquainting myself with my record collection with these cables connecting Acoustic Energy AE1 to Denon POA4400A power amps - both of which I bought new in 1989. The cable has given the system a whole new lease of life and I feel that there is more detail presented to my ears! I was surprise to find that the QED cable is a smaller gauge than the Monster Cable - but I guess that is due to over 20 years of progress!!

I was using Supra Ply 3.4 speaker cable and now I was curious to move to the next level to test QED silver anniversary as I heard good things about this cable but I was not quit convinced until I audit myself I can say it’s one of the best investments I've made. I was amazed by the difference in performance. The sound was so much more brilliant. The supra cable sounded poor, deluded, and far less dynamic in comparison. The QEDs, I noticed right away the soundstage was extremely open and were a lot more detail and transparency, I experience the sound to be very airy and with a hugely broad soundstage. I felt the impression of the sound to be more lifelike as you were in a million dollar studio, the tweeter and midrange were very clear and detailed; in fact I am now hearing some tiny instruments so clearly that I have not heard before... my conclusion: the sound system is now very airy and lot of space between the instruments “fantastic� the voices are so authentic you have to hear to believe, this cable is 5 stars, and I believe every one can afford to buy this cable if you are really looking for good and a very decent hifidelity speaker cable, check these out. And if you never believed that good cables can make a huge impact in your system than my friends out there I highly recommend this cable you won’t be disappointed depending on using good quality amplifiers and the speakers which will make you smile in your daily life.

Thoroughly recommend this speaker cable, especially for the price.
Though i would recommend that you get spades or banana plugs fitted by futureshop and save the hassel as the cable is a bit thick cause of the hollow tube in the middle.
Very nice hollow graphic sound stage and the highs sparkle.
Certainly an upgrade from the QED balanced design concept that I had before

a bit more detail, not worth buying if you want a cleaner, nicer sound, when comparing with a one quality cable, then you will need to upgrade to get more to liking

Top marks for futureshop for customer service. I telephoned on Friday afternoon at 15.45, spoke to Gary regarding the QED Silver Anniversary XT Speaker Bi-Wire Cable, He got the order processed and delivered to me by Saturday afternoon, excellent.

After performing my burn in regime with the Tellurium Q disc for a couple of hours I was pleasantly surprised at the openness and clarity of this cable, the midrange was very good and the treble very sweet, OK the bass was a little down, but I feel sure that this will improve with more hours through the cable, in fact the entire range has been improving steadily.

I have tried many mid priced cables over the past 10 years, from Linn, Ixos, Chord, AudioQuest, etc. and believe this cable represents the the best in value versus performance that I have tried and will get better still.

Purchased 29/01/2016. Qed Silver Anniversary XT Speaker/ Cable -burn in period 96 hrs

I purchased the above cable as a replacement for a speaker cable that i purchased in november 2015 along with my system which consists of Marantz MCR610 and Q acoustics 3020 bookshelf speakers .In hindsight the cable i picked at time was the wrong type cable for this sytem.
I contacted futureshop for advise and a spoke to a consultant called Adam who listened to my problem and the type of sound that i was looking for, he suggested the above cable would be my best choice.
Since the cables have been installed, i can say that the system has come to life , the music has attack ,the top and mid range are very clear and detailed in fact i am hearing instruments that i have not heard before. The bass is tight and well controlled and with a good low bass extension . Overall the system now has a open sound stage and is balanced across the audio range , also at low level volume levels all the detail is heard without the bass being overblown. This cable is 5 stars + and is worth every penny.

As regards futureshop service it provides first class, from otaining advise, to delivery of goods , to the finish of the supplied cables . TOP MARKS TO FUTURESHOP !!!!!!. from a very happy HI-FI listener.
