Have used this cable before, but a recent house move means I now need longer lengths for my 2-ch hifi. Bought unterminated, to which I added my own banana plugs.

In my system (Roksan CD and amp connected by Chord cables + Monitor Audio floor standers in medium sized room) sonically excellent across the full frequency range, listening to a range of music from Brahms to pan-British and Irish folk to classic and modern rock to Scandinavian heavy metal.

Bass is full but not boomy, treble sweet but not shrill, mid-range very clear. Separation is well handled too. Previous cable was Chord Carnival bi-wire, which was excellent, but I am hearing subtle intricacies with the QED that I did not get before.
When played through speaker cable that strangles the sound, Simple Minds can sound like jumbled noise. This cable allows me to hear all the component parts within the music, not in a clinical way, it just sounds really good at all volumes.

Future Shop service excellent as always. My first choice for cables for over 10 years.

What a difference a cable makes...I've been using Silver Reference for a few years now and find it to be an excellent cable all round. OK, I may not have tried many cables, but I happened on this one during an installation three years ago and loved the sound. I went home and ordered it for myself. Never been disappointed.

The key here though is the make up of the cables by Future Shop. Well made, and the cables terminated well with the fort banana plugs. Couldn't wish for a better job. I would have no hesitation in recommending them for any custom cabling.

Amazing difference. It was time for some new cables as after measuring the current setup unbelievable signal loss was occuring, trawling around online and multiple forums suggested FutureShop so I decided to give it a go, a number of users recommended QED Silver. Ordered a pair of same lengths for Bi wiring, super quick delivery and have to say a little taken back by the gauge of the wire!

Rigged up and straight away played some test tracks of varying styles of music, instantly noticed a huge increase of lower frequencies that weren't noticeable before. If you're needing a new cable set or just unsure if you do.... Buy it! You'll be pleasantly surprised!

Quality cable. Handles most source music quite well. I am not certain that the Nordost Vidar burn in really improves the function of the cable. I'll have to see how the speaker cable adapts to my system with time.

I wanted biwire mys speakers (Dali Opticon 6) to my amplifier (Hegel H80). I have had good experience with QED silver cable so it was an easy decision to use Future Shop which provided excellent customer service on the phone and provided very good advice. The Product was delivered quickly and well packed and protected. Product quality was excellent and within minutes I have exchanged the cables and can now enjoy the benefits of biwiring. Thank you Future Shop! PS: The match with my system is excellent but note that Dali strongly recommend biwiring for their speakers based upon their experience as a quality speaker builder. Other Companies do not recommend it. Any improvement from such an upgrade will never be as important as correct placement and understanding the acoustic limitations of the room you are playing music in.

Value for money and good service.

Cable arrived very promptly. The cable is very flexible and fits easily into my cable trunking. Sounds a bit thin compared to my previous Chord cables but far easier and less intrusive to install.

The cable was purchased to replace some bi-wire Monster Cable that had lost its shine - literally. Well it was over 25 years old. The QED cable looked like a quality product and performs as such, I am now enjoying re-acquainting myself with my record collection with these cables connecting Acoustic Energy AE1 to Denon POA4400A power amps - both of which I bought new in 1989. The cable has given the system a whole new lease of life and I feel that there is more detail presented to my ears! I was surprise to find that the QED cable is a smaller gauge than the Monster Cable - but I guess that is due to over 20 years of progress!!
