QED cables above 2.5mm2 cross sectional area utilize air core technology to obviate the skin effect by bundling several separately insulated smaller cores together to make up a larger CSA. If these conductors are arranged around a hollow central core of polyethylene the self inductance exhibited by the cable can be reduced to around half that predicted by calculation

Low constant dielectric materials such as Teflon have been used to cut down on the amount of audio signal energy lost due to cable capacitance.

Termination
This cable is professionally terminated by Futureshop's expert engineers using QED's superb 24 Carat gold plated AIRLOC termination plugs.
AIRLOC is QED's specialised loudspeaker termination method and offers the very best termination with QED speaker cables. This is a solder-free, airtight fusion between the cable and plug offering optimum signal transfer, excellent signal quality and perfect long-term performance.
QED’s AIRLOC FORTE metal banana and spade plugs deliver a superior performance over many plugs offered by rival manufacturers for the following reasons. Firstly, the plug is crimped around the conductors under high pressure using a special tool supplied by QED. No soldering is used and as a result the conductors are in contact with the plug 360 degrees which maximises the surface area contact. Furthermore, the banana plug itself is in contact with the binding post again at 360 degrees. The net effect of this is it maximises the signal transfer from the plug into your equipment and hence a superior performance. When bare wire is used not all the conductors are in contact with the binding post and as a result some loss occurs.
Unfortunately the metal barrels for the AIRLOC spades were discontinued in 2012 however we still use genuine QED’s AIRLOC spade plugs with genuine QED heat shrinks over the spade plugs. This ensures every QED speaker cable comes fully terminated with the best of QED's engineering.

The Nordost VIDAR cable burn-in machine integrates three key functions into one operation:
- Charge Neutralisation: It eliminates charges that accumulate around the cables and their insulation, ensuring a more balanced electrical environment.
- Deep Conditioning: The machine provides a wide band and deep conditioning process that affects the conductor core, resulting in changes to the signal transmission through the metal. This deep conditioning enhances the cable's performance.
- Ultrasonic Surface Conditioning: The VIDAR machine utilizes ultrasonic waves to condition the surface of the conductors, optimizing their contact and overall conductivity.
The VIDAR employs a proprietary combination of composite and complex signals to condition the cables. I want to express my thrill about the cable I ordered from the Future Shop. The competitive price is unlike other competent shops, even from the QED webshop, not just for the price but also for free burn-in service through the highly acclaimed Norost Vidar machine.
I inspected which cable would be the perfect setup for a laid-back classical NAD 310 amplifier, AE Aegis 1 speakers, and MF V-DAC II with all of the wiring from QED, as this is my third time buying at Future Shop. I have been waiting for several weeks for this cable, as Futureshop has not had QED Airloc termination elements available and was waiting for shipment from QED.
The whole team is very polite, helpful and communicative. Regarding the quality of termination, which was professionally made and with the burn-in high-end Vidar machine, I was OK with waiting. When it came, it was nicely secured and packed (no box as it is custom) and it started to sing in my system after about 3 hours of continuous listening.
Regarding the cable termination, Futureshop installed an excellent QED Airloc terminatio,n, which is highly regarded, but QED cut manufacturing in 2012. if I am right, it is still in their stock, but you can't buy QED's fixed-length cable with Ailoc; you will have a new series of terminations, which I don't know.
I would recommend Futureshop gladly.

These are bridged between the Marantz Model 40n and B&W 705S2 speakers.
After a week or so of burn-in, the resolution, sound separation, bass power, and treble appeal all changed dramatically to my satisfaction.
I live in Japan, and QED is by far more cost-effective than the Japanese manufacturers' cables. I will consider QED RCA cables next.

I had Monster cable 4mm OFC 99.99, but after connecting this QED Signature Revelation speaker cable... it was a real revelation when listening.
Everything is magnificent: space, depth, accuracy, and respect for the music. These cables have considerably made it possible to forget the material and to only feel the emotion of listening by closing your eyes to even better shiver with pleasure, whether classical, jazz, lounge, quality electro, even on internet radio streaming, dab+, and also Spotify. I will modify my RCA audio cables with QED to perfect everything; I recommend it without reservation.
Thanks to Future Shop, which is the only site that allows a detailed choice of length plus the cable running-in and airloc banana assembly service and hyper-competitive prices. In France, there is no choice of length or assembly. This is a great product. Its audio is excellent, but above all, it conveys the performance and singing voice of the artist very well.
I think the Genesis is an even better cable, but it is a middle-class audio device, so this cable is enough to demonstrate the speakers' performance.
The shop is highly reliable, and the price is a little lower than in elsewhere, which was appealing at first. However, the product finish and burn-in service are excellent, and I bought it again.
QED's products are musical and have a good texture; I think this product is excellent despite the price.

I've tried several cables; this one sounds pretty good and cheap.
Of course, it would be better to use products from existing expensive brands, but I was very happy to hear good sound at this price.
I really like the silver-plated OFC (like Power Cable - Wire World Aurora7), and it was still the right choice for me. Everyone has their own taste, but with bi-wiring, it was better to connect to the low range, and with single-wiring, there was no choice, but I felt it was harmonious overall.
The combination of silver plating that beautifies the high range and OFC that makes the low range resonate is truly fantastic. I am using Neotech's 3003II with bi-wiring in my main system and this product in my secondary system, and considering the price difference, I am completely satisfied.
Of course, it would be better to use products from existing expensive brands, but I was very happy to hear good sound at this price.

Out of the box, they seem to present a nicely detailed sound stage; lower frequencies are already better than my previous 16ga copper cables. Higher frequencies don't seem to be there yet, but I haven't had the chance to burn them in and didn't take advantage of that free service from Future Shop.
The cable was cut to an accurate length, with banana plugs attached to one end and spades to the other as requested. Service excellent.

Having bought multiple cable sets from Future Shop, I am disappointed by the fitment of the Airloc Plugs on this latest set of custom-length QED speaker cables. The outer sheath has been cut back too far, so any stress on the cable is carried by the core cable, and the conductor contacts the plug's shell.
The cable itself and the spades on the speaker ends provide QED quality and clarity, and I would never hesitate to recommend their products.
I have used QED cables, speakers, and interconnects for over 20 years. I have auditioned and purchased a bunch of other manufacturers' products, too, and I always return to QED.
In a market containing a lot of smoke and mirrors, QED is always the best bang for the buck and oftentimes beats way more expensive options.
The cable itself and the spades on the speaker ends provide QED quality and clarity, and I would never hesitate to recommend their products.

Very good sound through these cables to Q3020i speakers. It replaced the cheaper QED 79.
I tried it with Q3050i speakers on another system, and to be honest, there is not a lot of difference to the QED XT40i cable that is being used.
I used the burn-in for 96 hours option, so the cable was in optimum condition.
Delivery was the next day after this service.
The only issue I have is with the AIRLOC banana terminations. Expertly fitted by Future Shop and look good but is let down by small rubber rings to indicate +/- that move about and can slip off when plugs are inserted/removed. I feel QED could improve on this issue as these are not cheap.
All in all, it is a quality cable.

I use QED Revelation Speaker Cable for my 2CH/HT setup, which performs very well. Terminated beautifully by FutureShop - the build quality of the cable and connectors is bettered by their sonic signature. Great clarity and punch with a nice soundstage and controlled bass.

This speaker cable is a massive step up from a generic spooled speaker cable and a notable improvement over the entry-level Audioquest speaker cable that I was using before.
Worthwhile improvement over Silver Anniversary.

The QED Revelation looks like a chunkier QED Silver Anniversary XT speaker cable. Has the family sound too, but cures the former's main downfall in a higher-end system- a slightly forward midrange. The Revelation improves over the Silver Anniversary XT in all areas- the treble is more refined, extended and tight; the mid is fuller and more articulate, and the bass is more tactile though not noticeably deeper. Further running in may change that, though.
The QED Revelation outdoes my collection of old speaker cables from Cable Talk, Ixos, Monster (antique?!) and even Kimber. Very happy with these cables.

I bought the Genesis Silver Spiral Speaker Cable last time, but the speaker wilsonaudio CAB Model1 that I am using was a little confusing due to excessive bass. However, despite its low price, this product has a large amount of information and excellent resolution, and I felt that it was very compatible.

QED Revelation Speaker Cable These speaker cables are indeed a revelation. They are transporting music cristal clear, without colourisation, without any resistance to my 37 years old 'vintage' Driade loudspeakers.
In the last few days, I have tried almost everything from Amy Winehouse to Bach, from Mozart to Shostakovich, from Prince to Benjamin Britten. I'm listening to music, to emotion, to art. Al this time, I did not realise how good the loudspeakers are, until now.
In this light, these QED speaker cables are a small but very wise investment for the next 37 years, at least.
