Having incorporated a streamer and DAC into my system I was looking to at least maintain the quality I am used to with my analogue equipment connected with QED Reference 40 cables.

This digital toslink connector was to the same fantastic build quality and simply unmatched in sonic performance. I would some it up as being detailed and engaging.

I keep reading that using an optical cable for your digital connection is a thing of the past along with limited bandwidth as opposed to coaxial.

Well I bought a QED Reference Optical Quarts cable which arrived today from the fantastic team at Future Shop and the result is simply stunning.

I am using the optical lead as my digital connection from my Linn Majik streamer to my Primare Pre35 amps internal DAC which before I’ve just regarded it as a very average DAC, but not it shines. It has not only opened up the soundstage even further but the level of details has improved massively. I’ve seen more of an improvement than I’ve seen from changing a component in the past.

Clear, excellent sound stage & resolution, with good bass. Nice build quality.

Using it for the streamer and Audiolab 8300CDQ, so much more details than cheaper cables, money worth spending!

Outstanding product. I bought the QED Reference Optical Quartz interconnect to replace a QED Performance Optical interconnect to connect my Humax set top box to my Audiolab 6000A amplifier
which has a built-in dac with both optical and coax inputs.

The sound was already good but the new glass optical interconnect brought greater clarity to both speach and music.In fact
BBC Radio 3 through the set top box has never sounded so good.
