This cable proved to be an excellent alternative to Kimber Kable open-weave cables as all coaxials sounded shut-in and compressed in comparison driving a valve power amp as well as proneness to noise pick-up near plasma TVs and HDMI leads.

The Reference 40 showed the openness of the Kimbre but with more detail and extension at both ends together with a smoother presentation. Very impressed.

Replaced soniclink pink interconnects for the QED oh joy the depth of the soundstage and clarity totally in a different league highly recommended now my b&w 804's truly sing with bi amped arcam amps

Been using Blue Jeans speaker cable and Belden interconnects, not even in the same ballpark as this qed 40 interconnect and speaker cable.

Arrived next day well packaged, the cable is well made and sounds a lot better than my previous cheaper cable.

Very reasonable cost for the qed ref.audio 40. Brings life to my music,deep bass,rich vocals, even on my 75 ohm cable on my television.I am using a complete Naim system which does all of the work,,these interconnects just enhance my listening pleasure just enough to justify the cost!

A review of QED reference 40 .6m analogue interconnect.
Build quality---superb and substantial in feel and weight.
Sound quality---very analogue and free flowing. Bass, midrange and treble all there with no caveats and a pleasingly musical presentation.
Verdict---for a mid price cable this is as good as anything. Simply cant go wrong with this cable.

It's QED and what HiFi rated. A must have. The best cable I've bought for the money so far.
