It's a bit expensive but the cable and plugs have solid mechanical construction. I can't say whether it's any worse than plugging the headphones directly to the amp; I can't hear any difference.

Excellent cable, beautiful sound, and good value for money

Had I actually measured the distance I needed, I would have purchased the longer cable (I ordered the 3.m). Issues with the metric conversion is my downfall, lol. This is my third QED product I have bought and no disappointment here with the headphone extension cable. Don’t know if break in is needed, but my small experience has shown there is some improvement albeit slight depending on the cable make/brand etc. But this cable is such an exceptional value, the quality of the cable itself, the connectors, and of course the first class service from Future Shop make this an easy choice.

A good quality product. A nice cable with quality connections as you would expect from QED. Nice and flexible and preserves the signal, meaning headphone listening is good quality (headphone dependent of course..). Futureshop delivery up to usual high standards.

Headphone lead extension - excellent!
Up to the usual QED standard. Used to entend the cable on my ATH-M40X to enable me to listen while on the sofa at the far end of the room. When connected, it makes no difference - ie there is no change in what things sounds like, which is just what it should be - sonically neutral.
Good quality connectors at each end, securely joined to the cable, and the cable itself is remarkably similar to what it attached to the headphones, which is flexible and lightweight, but at the same time feels solid and well made.

Futureshop service - excellent as always!

QED leads are some of the best on the market the headphone extension I purchased is superb. It's well made looks and feels like QED quality. The usage is slightly unusual I needed the extension to plug into a headphone amp to extend my Grado headphones which goes into a guitar amplifier. The trasformation of sound is amazing the small Blackstar 30 watt practise amp I have which is digital now sounds like my Marshall 100 watt valve amp. I've always used quality interconnects and this one doesn't disappoint.

The sound is more round, that's mean this cable is not neutral. The sound is better than with a no-name cable. I use this cable QED with a Bose QuietComfort 25 headphone on a Naim Unity2
I don't regret my choice

Combined with a DAC and an AudioQuest Jitterbug, this QED extension cable proves a success. Running music from my laptop, there is more presence and more heft in the bass.

Currently listening to a live recording of an Ethan Johns concert at Kings Place. A 24 bit 96000 FLAC file, this was always a superlative recording. With the QED cable added to the equation, it goes a little bit beyond. An old chestnut: it's like being there. Recommended.
