I was looking for new speaker cables to replace my QED Qudos cables, which I had used for 24 years and were starting to deteriorate.
Unfortunately, Qudos-branded cables are no longer available. I was trying to find a cable that would not only sound as good as the Qudos but would also be flexible enough for a long run and tight corners.
I contacted the Future Shop Customer Service Team for advice, and they recommended QED Original Performance cables, which I ordered in two custom lengths with QED Airloc cold-welded banana plug terminations on the speaker ends and stripped bare wire at the amplifier ends.
I opted for Royal Mail Special Delivery, and they arrived in less than 24 hours.
I've just finished burning the cables in for the QED-recommended 72 hours, and now they are sounding great and as good as the Qudos. (Research with QED revealed that the QED Original Performance cables are exactly the same as the Qudos, just rebranded.)

Frustratingly, the Denon unit only accepts bare wires. I had a bit of basic audio cable in the garage and some screw-on banana plugs for the speaker connections, and with these, I made up some cables, but the sound had no scale or depth.
I plumped for the QED original cables and specified bare wire at one end and QED Airloc bananas at the other. What a difference! Like night and day.
For the money spent, it's a brilliant solution. The cables arrived very quickly and perfectly prepared. Delighted, thank you.

I replaced very old speaker cables (brand unknown - sorry) but kept a pair of aged TDL speakers to go with a new Marantz amp. Wow. The difference after trying the old cables for a week or so is palpable.
The bass is intense, while lighter notes are more detailed and the overall sound more rounded, reigniting the whole experience of listening to my collection.
What has also helped is having true connections to both the amp & speakers, something I wrongly ordered originally but thankfully, the magnificent service of Future Shop put right in a phone call when checking my order.
So, with fantastic quality cables, true connections and superb customer service - I can't recommend the product or site enough. Just brilliant.

Firstly, the customer service I have received from the site is second to none. The cable quality is brilliant (though I’m no expert)… but a big but from me bearing in mind I bought this cable to snake around the ceiling of my living room, is that it is pearlescent pink. This cable is definitely not white, which is the idea given in the picture. If it hadn’t been for the fabulous service and quality, I’d have knocked off more stars.

I upgraded from "lamp cord" speaker cables to these QED. The difference in sound is notable and the construction and finish are also superb.
The terminations I ordered were not available at the time, so Futureshop got in contact with me to offer other options and the corresponding refund. This was shipped all the way to Miami with no issue. Excellent customer service all the way.

QED performance silver micro is to the brighter side of neutral with my system Denon RCD-M41DAB, Mission QX2 on isoacoustics stands + qed cable. Original is a good basic cable for those who don't want a cheap low budget cable but also not something expensive (£5 and up), to me it sounds softer than the silver micro in the highs and has a slightly soft upper midgrange,lower tweeter which is perfect for those speakers,systems that sound slightly agressive,forward in the upper midrange.
What is best original or the cheaper non silver micro i don't know, i just know the original is not quite as bright sounding as the silver micro = better balanced sound, it's also thicker than the non silver and silver micro so it can be used with higher powered amps and longer length without signal degradation.

Looking to upgrade my speaker cable I phoned future shop for some advice. The chap I spoke to was really helpful, he took on board what system I was using and recommended this stuff. I have to say that my system albeit only being a lowly Cambridge 'one' plus monitor bronze 2 speakers sounds like it never has before, absolutely stunning!
All sounds across the range are clearer and more defined the bass less boomy, more punchy, mid to highs crisper and clearer. I would recommend this cable and futureshop. I would also recommend phoning and having a chat if you're not sure exactly what you need.

ENGLISH TRANSLATION: The cable hooked up with Marantz pm7005 and Monitor Audio bronze b1, the sound of the speakers added bass-significantly, in general, the sound is neutral, as described by other music lovers, in my opinion, it did not sound worse. Earlier, cheap acoustic cables of 1.5mm were connected. But for my speakers it was possible to take a cable thinner. The cable is very stiff, the bare wire in the speaker terminals often attenuates the contact, you have to pull up the terminals, it's probably better to use the cable with banana plugs.
Кабель подключил с Marantz pm7005 и Monitor Audio bronze b1, звук колонок прибавил баса-значительно, в целом , звук нейтральный, как и описывали другие меломаны, по моему ,хуже звучать не стало.Раньше были подключены дешёвые акустические кабеля 1,5мм . Но для моих колонок можно было взять кабель потоньше. Кабель очень жёсткий, голый провод в клеммах колонок часто ослабляется контакт, приходиться подтягивать клеммы, наверно, кабель лучше использовать с бананами.

It gives a rich balanced sound to my technincs EH60 HI-Fi I've tweaked my graphic Eq to get the best out of it there is so much detail not just with music but from my PVR too. My advice to anyone with anyone with a system that has spring clip terminals is to replace those freebie cables & invest in this. I've no regrets.
