This cable sounds as good as it looks. Maybe overkill with thickness awg 10, but with silver less harshness vocally.

I had bought some Chord Shawline for my new Linn/KEF stereo kit but, after coming from Supra ply, thought that the sound was too 'recessed.' I wanted that brighter presentation the Supra gave me, but more! So Adam and Gary advised on the Silver Spiral.
There is certainly a lot more research behind the spiral's design, if one reads the Genesis report, and the cable definitely looks the part. And Adam and Gary were right; this is, indeed a bright cable, probably brightest speaker cable I've tried (for those that are in denial about the affects of a speaker cable, I'd invite them to listen to this and some Linn K20 and I am convinced there would be a difference.).
The Silver Spiral is impressive at first with lots of treble info and a strange airy kind of openness but, after a while, that high frequency information smears everything else. I like to listen at fairly loud levels and the treble information made my ears prickle, especially in already bright recordings like Tong's Classic House.
Ultimately I asked Futureshop for the Chord cables back so I could do an A/B comparison. I found that the Chord wasn't really flat, rather neutral and musical whereas the Supra and QED were, somehow, overemphasising the higher frequencies. At the same volume my ears no longer reacted to the high frequencies and so I kept the Chord.
I am sure that in a relaxed system the Silver Spiral has it's place - Marantz, Arcam, NAD or B&W, for example. Not for a Linn/KEF LS50.

have always been dubious about the debate of expensive cable versus standard , have invested in the Silver Spiral and it has blown me away with the quality and openess also the tight grip on the bass , have read many reviews and agree with most that in many ways this is a quality upgrade for your speakers and great value for money , I would highly recommend the cable , having Audioquest bi wire for a time I thought I had found a top product but the Silver Spiral blows it out the water , its like discovering that favourite album all over again , even at low volumes their is a clarity I have never appreciated before , do your speakers a favour and invest in this product.
Futur-eshop were excellent , having only bought a couple of items via them both QED products I would highly recommend them , the burn in service is worth the wait , quick prompt and efficient , easily 5 stars

This cable do wonders. Very dynamic, detailed, with an outstanding soundstage. Before I bought, I compared with Kimber 12TC and the QED nails it in every way. The only point that's matter of taste, the Kimber has a spacial soundtage, which was good but the others aspects made me to buy this cable.

I wasn't pleased with the XT40 performance - and therefore returned the XT40 for the Genesis Silver Spiral - futureshop was kind enough not to complicate the exchange and assisted me. I got this with 96 Hrs burn.

It is significantly thicker and more rigid than I expected.

I never believed speaker cable would make ""detectable"" or hearable difference on any system and strongly subscribed to the idea that as long as one had a good quality 14 or 16 guage speaker cables - it would do the job.

This cable certainly proved me wrong! There is significant improvemnet in the way my music sounds now and the way I am able to enjoy it. The bass is firm and controlled and the treble just the right kind without sounding too squeeky.

Mus-t add that there is significant price variation with the first cable XT40 I purchased - but there is significant variation in the sound I hear - so very pleased and happy! I wonder what could be performance if one had budget for much expensive cables running into thousands! QED Genesis Silver Spiral I would say is affordable high end item.

I have just recently purchased QED silver spiral Genesis speaker cable. From futureshop. I am very much into my music and films. You have to imagine cables. Like they are the bloodline to your stereo or AV system. It's like putting really good tires on your car. Put the wrong ones on and the car will handle rubbish. I have lots of different makes of cables they all make a difference you have to get the right ones what you like on your system QED seem to be very good for the money and very revealing good Drive good death. They have put a certain sparkle on my AV system I am very happy Neil beaver.

It is a great cable and I like it.
It is clearer and wider than already owned Ruby Evolution and Revelation.
The processing of the AIRLOC banana plug is also wonderful!
