Aircore Technology™
QED cables above 2.5mm2 cross sectional area utilise air core technology to obviate the skin effect by bundling several separately insulated smaller cores together to make up a larger CSA. If these conductors are arranged around a hollow central core of polyethylene the self inductance exhibited by the cable can be reduced to around half that predicted by calculation.

Construction
Starting from the inside, Genesis Silver Spiral comprises two grouped bunches of conductors. Each Group is made up of nine individually insulated silver plated 99.999% Oxygen Free Copper cores twisted around two central fillers (one red, one white) in QED's special spiral geometry to minimise sound-degrading "proximity effect".
Silver Plated OFC provides greater conductivity than copper alone and delivers superb resolution and delicacy, especially when used as part of a high end system. All elements of the dielectric, including the thin, low density conductor insulation, are Polyethylene (a material with a low dielectric constant and an ability to dramatically reduce signal leakage).
The grouping geometry reduces inductance between conductors, thus minimising field effect distortions. Aluminium mylar tape separates the twisted conductors and the translucent PVC jacket provides a tough protective flexible outer cover.

Termination
This cable is professionally terminated by Futureshop's expert engineers using QED's superb 24 Carat gold plated AIRLOC termination plugs.
AIRLOC is QED's specialised loudspeaker termination method and offers the very best termination with QED speaker cables. This is a solder-free, airtight fusion between the cable and plug offering optimum signal transfer, excellent signal quality and perfect long-term performance.
QED’s AIRLOC FORTE metal banana and spade plugs deliver a superior performance over many plugs offered by rival manufacturers for the following reasons. Firstly, the plug is crimped around the conductors under high pressure using a special tool supplied by QED. No soldering is used and as a result the conductors are in contact with the plug 360 degrees which maximises the surface area contact. Furthermore, the banana plug itself is in contact with the binding post again at 360 degrees. The net effect of this is it maximises the signal transfer from the plug into your equipment and hence a superior performance. When bare wire is used not all the conductors are in contact with the binding post and as a result some loss occurs.
Unfortunately the metal barrels for the AIRLOC spades were discontinued in 2012 however we still use genuine QED’s AIRLOC spade plugs with genuine QED heat shrinks over the spade plugs. This ensures every QED speaker cable comes fully terminated with the best of QED's engineering.

1. We use Royal Mail 1st Class Services as a Standard Postage Option
Orders received before 4.30pm Monday to Friday (excluding Bank Holidays) are usually dispatched the same day by FIRST CLASS post (unless premium postal or timed courier services are selected), subject to stock availability. When I need a specific thing like cables for my hifi system, I have a look on Futureshop’s. And I am never disappointed.
Last time, I wanted to improve the jumpers of my speakers. I could not think to use bi-wire between my Naim electronics to the Triangle Magellan Quatuor because my speaker cables were the Supremus QED. So I decided to install the QED Genesis Silver jumpers to replace the original ones (after having read previous reviews).
The result: excellent, it has bettered the medium and high frequency. I recommend it a lot. Supremus and Genesis silver sound very nice together.

Last summer I purchased a set of QED40i jumpers and was over the moon at the sonic improvement (see my separate review).
Then in recent weeks I got the HiFi upgrading “itch” (as you do!) and decided on a whim to try these higher level jumpers since the additional cost was relatively small. The further improvement in sound was very marked with both the higher and lower ranges much clearer and more defined. My wife even asked if the CD's. I had chosen to play were newly purchased remasters!!.
In summary this is a highly recommended purchase which is equally compatible with my Naim A5 speaker cables.

After talking to Future shop about jumper cables for my B&W 803s speakers. I use JPS super conductorQ cables withQed XT40 links.I was advised to move up to Qed silver spiral links. These were dispatched within a couple of days. After the change over the difference was heard right away, the sound stage was more open and the instruments were spaced better. Vocals were just a bit more natural.It is hard to believe changing such a small part can make such a difference. To anyone still using manufacturers jump leads or bars I would say change them soonest.

Jumper Cables and Speaker Cable are good because it would be better to use the same one.
I use it with a vacuum tube amplifier, so I will not use bi-wire.

My Speaker is Tannoy Kensington. This speaker's bi-wiring terminal is difficult to use (I suppose every owner feel so).
This jumper cable have enough lengeth for kensington, and frexible, so easy to connect terminals. I select spade to spade termination, and I can say that it's collect selection for Tannoy Kensington users.

These are physically impressive jumpers,the most substantial I have owned.Larger diameter, but still flexible.Sound from my system is very nice using these in conjunction with Silver Spiral speaker cable, also from Futureshop.Futureshop has excellent service to the US too as QED cables are not a brand readily available here..

These are my first jumpers, I never had to use any before, because my former amp allowed to bi-wire. I bought them because my speaker cable is QED XT 400, to be coherent with it.
I tried the stock original jumpers, and it was not satisfactory. Bass was bloated and weak. Something was missing: less detail, less texture.
The-se Qed Genesis jumpers do a good job. The bass is back, and texture, a lot of details that disappeared also.
May be not as good as bi-wire, but definitely an excellent price / performance ratio.
