The LAN-8 is Furutech's first CAT8 ethernet cable, and offers fantastic performance. It features an NCF treated shell, which eliminates static and converts thermal energy into infrared, and by using nano ceramic and nano carbon powders Furutech are able to achieve further dampening. This cable can transmit data at 40GBps and is fully CAT8 certified.

Furutech’s LAN-8 NCF features a connector shell incorporating their proprietary Nano Crystal² Formula (NCF). NCF uses a special crystalline material that Furutech claims has two ‘active’ properties.

• Category 8 is backward compatible with Categories 7 and 6. It also features improved specifications for crosstalk and system noise than Category 7 with added shielding for each individual wire pair and the cable as a whole. Besides the additional shielding, the LAN-8 NCF features twisted pairs with the number of twists per unit length increasing RF shielding and protecting from crosstalk.
