Furutech FP-TCS31 PC-TripleC Power Cable
Furutech’s α (Alpha) PC-Triple C is one of a select few of conductors that Furutech engineers have found to excel in sound reproduction. α (Alpha) PC-Triple C is made with Furukawa high-purity oxygen-free copper using a special forging process. Unlike regular OFC (oxygen-free copper), almost all of the impurities of this high-purity OFC have been removed at the micron level through a special casting process unique to Furukawa.
Purposely designed and developed for audio signal conductors, α (Alpha) PC-Triple C is flexible, strong and can be drawn into a very fine wire. This new conductor, while not single-crystal like PCOCC, features crystal grain boundaries that are almost totally free of impurities which allows even the smallest of signals to be transmitted. While PCOCC is a single-crystal conductor, it is susceptible to imperfections during production. Since α (Alpha) PC-Triple C employs a fixed angle continuous transport forging process, pressure is applied to the high-purity oxygen-free copper tens of thousands times. This ensures that any crystal grain boundaries that were present in a vertical direction become longitudinal, and the crystals become connected and uniform in their direction. This process also helps to remove the imperfections that are often found in PCOCC, which create a more conductive and acoustic conductor.
The resulting conductor has an extremely fine resolution down and through the very low noise floor, improved sound staging and image palpability, a musical, attractive, “round” midrange, tight and controlled bass, plus power and dynamics to spare to set your music on fire!

Optional Fuse Upgrade
As an optional extra, Future Shop will upgrade the built-in fuse to the excellent Blue 13A fuse from Synergistic Research (SR). The SR Blue fuse is an excellent upgrade choice due to the materials used which offer an increase in resolution and realism over standard fuses. Some of the improvements you may hear include; a quieter noise-floor, greater dynamics, a more relaxed sound and detailed musicality.

I have a number of Furutech power cables, both this TCS31 and the thinner TCS21, for which I have already left reviews. In summary, this cable provides a spacious, detailed, dynamic, and smooth sound, and I would say it suits a neutral or even “lively” system. I have been really surprised at the difference power cables make, having previously been a sceptic, but these Furutech cables really have improved my system. I tried gold terminations, which are smooth and relaxed like a good tube amp, but ended up preferring rhodium in my system for neutrality.
This TCS31 is an anaconda of a cable; however, compared to the TCS21, in my enclosed racking, it was not possible to wrangle it to all components. However, it is used for the critical connection between my Furutech wall socket and power block. TCS21s feed low-current source components and the pre-amp. The TCS31 is more capable, but it is worth carefully considering the amplifiers’ requirements.
I auditioned both with the AQ Monsoon and 1.5 sq. mm OEM cables with my power amps. Whilst differences were marked on source components, they weren’t as apparent on my Benchmark power amps. There was no discernible difference between the Furutech cables but I did prefer both over the Monsoon, which seemed to accentuate high and low frequencies, For context I don’t have conditioning or filtering to avoid potentially limiting inrush current for start up/transients and the power block is fed via a 20A radial to IEC19. The power amps also rely on capacitors rather than transformers, and despite a peak output of 29A, they are only 4A inputs. Furutech doesn’t list the number of cores in their cables, but the AWG size of the TCS31 is likely to have a 10-14A rating depending on the core count, and the TCS21 is about 25% less than that.
In summary, it really is worth auditioning cables because they do sound different on different components. For example, I have found that increasing cable size too much on some components can make the sound ‘thick’ or ‘booming’. I used a TCS31, TCS21, and a borrowed AQ Monsoon and swapped around components to choose the best combination with the constraints of my rack.

I used to have Frutuech FP-314Ag between the FP-1363 wall plug and FI-1363 wall socket to extend the power length to feed my LG OLED TV (the TV uses its own undetachable power cable) because my TV is far from the wall outlet.
After I replaced FP-314Ag with the new FP-TCS31, I couldn't believe this big jump! Everything changed significantly. The Gamma set 2.4 became much higher (maybe 2.5 - 2.6 or even higher). Contrast, Colors, Brightness, and Resolution all become much more intense and incredibly powerful, which requires me to re-calibrate the TV to the reference level (I'm using ChromaPure software for calibration).
Reducing TV settings reduces background processing, which is very beneficial.
For user termination, I highly recommend combining Shield with Earth, as shown in the DPS 4.1 video. This will improve signal strength and reduce noise. I use a generous amount of shield.

Replacement power cable for my Marantz 30N made up very neatly with rhodium plated plug and IEC. Sent speedily after a 96-hour burn-in with great communication all the way.
It's added an increased sense of resolution across all frequency bands, making the music more involving with improved clarity into the mix. Bass has more texture and depth, so yes, it makes it sound better!
I was a little nervous about its size and weight, but although fat, I found it okay to dress behind my rack, and the plugs hold nicely.

Very happy with these power cables. I bought three (with Furutech plugs), and whilst price is always relative, I believe they offer an excellent price/performance ratio for higher-end systems.
I added yellow QSA fuses and believe they add at least 50% of the SQ uplift, but I also found the cheaper black fuses to make a significant uptick from standard.

Having read an online audio site extolling the quality of Furutech my interest was piqued. I emailed Future Shop to enquire further, and received a very helpful response from Dexter, along with recommendations of Furutech cable to consider.
I eventually settled on this cable and the plugs It arrived approximately 29 hrs after making the order!! This cable is the most l had ever paid, however, it is very impressive and the joy of listening to music when it is fitted is fantastic and the joy felt extinguishes any thought of cost (worth every penny). Each track played, l heard something new, the clarity in the soundstage was very apparent.
Future Shop was fantastic to deal with, and l will definitely do so again in the future.

This is my first Furutech cable. This is a very good quality cable, it's performance is matched with the Shunyata Venom V12 if not better. I was using the V12 for my McIntosh Pre amp, now I am using this FP-TCS31 instead. I noticed a large sound stage right away and it sounds even better after over two weeks burn in besides the
Future shop 96hrs burn in service. I would say the cable now sounds very similar to my another Shunyata V10 (which almost double the price of the Furutech one) in my system. I strongly recommend this cable.

Definite improvement. I purchased the FP-TCS31 along with the plug & amp end terminal as recommended by Adam. Was I sceptical . . . . . . . at £450 for a power cable, yes I was. Did I need to be . . . . . . No! Not at all.
The cable is currently used with a PMC Cor amp, it has toned down the treble, more definition & more depth to the music. I am changing my amp to the Bryston 135 cubed next week & I am confident that the cable will work just as well, if not better.

I used the thinner FP-TCS21 for my Bryston BCD-3 CD Player and the thicker FP-TCS31 for my Bryston B135 cubed integrated amplifier. I would recommend the FP-TCS31 for power hungry appliances like amplifiers because of its thickness. Improvements against an Isoteo Evo 3 premier power cable include a smoother sound, more dynamics and the ability to keep up with the music's rhythm. Also suitable for users who might find their setup to be too forward / exciting / bright sounding. May not be suitable for systems that are already warm / laid-back sounding as it might overdo the warm effect.
I particularly love the FP-TCS31 - the B135 integrated amplifier doesn't feel 'strangled' with it as compared to thinner power cords; it's probably the effect of a thick cable which by physics, results in less resistance to the current.

Great cable!. In order to improve MY sound I decided to buy Furutech FP-TCS31 PC-TripleC Power Cable, and run it from the electric board straight to the amplifier using Furutech FI-50 NCF connector. I couldn't believe myself that it would be such a tremendous improvement! The music took me into space! The range of sound frequencies became much wider, lots of new details. I could feel how music enveloped me, and I became part of the sound myself! Now I am thinking to buy the same cable for the sound sources. Sound is super clean, unbloated, musical with detailed highs, viscereal mids and tight honest, just as it should be bass. It sounds like my Devialet800 (clean) Naim 500 (fast) and Krell evolution 900(power) mated and gave birth to this Furutech “umbilical “ cable.. Ha ha !

My Magnepans 20.1 is giving me the bass ive never heard before. Sonus Faber Stradivarius and Proac D40R are presenting beguiling and mesmerising sonics in other rooms.
All i did was a replace a core power backbone cable with this Furutech on a 20 ~ 40A, grid line bearing 240vac, straight into a power conditioner. Next step is to upgrade all other component power cables to this Furutech. And wait for the magic!!

Skeptics need to hear this cable asap !
My Magnepans 20.1 is giving me the bass ive never heard before. Sonus Faber Stradivarius and Proac D40R are presenting beguiling and mesmerising sonics in other rooms.
All i did was a replace a core power backbone cable with this Furutech on a 20 ~ 40A, grid line bearing 240vac, straight into a power conditioner. Next step is to upgrade all other component power cables to this Furutech. And wait for the magic!!

A really good cable and a really good service from Futureshop. A really good cable - worth using very good quality connectors (I used FL-50 and FL-1363). I was amazed by the positive impact these had on sound quality (especially bass response). Futureshop offer a great make-up service and put on a black braid for me that makes the cable look really high quality as well. Delivery took longer than forecast but I have no hesitation in using Futureshop again.

The best yet...I had two power cords for my Devialet amps. made with this cable. I specified top of the range rhodium NCF connectors. These cables trounced offerings from Crystal Cable and Shunyata.
Bass is full, tight and decisive. Treble is crystal clear without being in any way harsh or tiring. Midrange is fantastically informative. Dynamics are allowed to flow freely as are micro dynamics, making for a beautifully detailed sound. I cannot praise these cables highly enough for sound quality and value for money. My cables cost £767 and the Shunyata equivalent came in at £1250!
These cables will be staying in my system and the search for perfect sound is over.

I have been around the block a few times on the mains cable merry go round in 30 years, well finally i can now jump off sit back and enjoy the music. The improvements in sound with this cable using the very top NCF connectors will compete and beat all the multi thousand pound cables i have tried by a country mile.knowing my personality and asking my requirement as a customer for my system I was advised by Adam to buy the FP-TCS31 with the best furutech connectors i could afford which is what i did and my god the improvements were straigh out the bag from cold, if you are looking for the very high end of mains cables i advise you to start here and enjoy. I am in no way reviewing this cable but i can only say it betters anything else i have ever used by a significant margin in all areas of reproducing real music into your front rooms. I use it on all my components and my system has never sounded like this it sounds so realistic in every department, i am so glad i choose the NCF connectors i believe they put the finishing touches on, but i would also bet that this cable sounds as good with the cheaper high quality options, how far do you go is the question i went FP-TCS31 with NCF connectors and i am so happy with the results i can now enjoy the music until its time for a component change, these cables are definite keepers, great service from futureshop as always

I'm a power cable sceptic by nature but every review I read concludes that the super power cable made all the difference. I have tried power cables from Chord, VdH , pure silver cable, tinned copper cables etc but with no discernible improvement. I decided to make my own using this cable and I also purchased a Furutech FI-UK 1363 Mains Plug - Gold . The cable is used to run a Gamut D200 III amp into Pureaudioprojec-t Trio 10 speakers , fed by a HugoTT dac. The improvement is significant, more open treble, and clearer detail all round . The overall ambience is more realistic. The value is excellent for what you get in comparison to much more expensive cables. Highly recommended.

Firstly let me start by saying that as usual the service from Future Cables is exceptional. I was served by Adam in sales and he helped me reach the right decision on the way forward to make my own power cords. I bought this cable for my preamp and can say that the sound compared to my previous high-end power cord is significantly more open, detailed, dynamic and the sound stage is a lot more precise. For the cable naysayers, I have my non-hifi family but they do listen to a lot of music and they all independently confirmed my findings. Quite simply, the whole sound is a lot cleaner and the music just sounds lovely. Points to note: the cable is thick and a bugger to wire up. You will need to buy quality IECs like Furutech that take large cables and MS HD Plugs. I was lucky enough to have got an IEGO Silver IEC and a Rhodium Plug. Hope this helps.
