The Formula 2 is a beautifully engineered and built USB 2.0 cable for enthusiasts with growing music collections on their computer hard drives looking for high performance sound.
More and more people have amassed large collections of music on their computer hard disks, and there are an increasing number of USB-input DACs to serve them. If properly setup and implemented computer-based systems are capable of smooth and detailed sound, especially with high resolution recordings. But as with any system component you need quality, well-engineered and built USB cables to get there.
Furutech has created a high performance entry level 2.0 USB cable for this purpose. They begin with silver-plated α (Alpha) OFC conductors and a special-grade high-density polyethylene insulation/dielectric. As illustrated below the Formula 2 features three-layer shielding and specially engineered 24k gold-plated USB 2.0 connectors. As with the more highly specified GT2 and GT3, the cable wrap includes damping and insulating materials keeping mechanical ringing from affecting the sound. A carefully engineered clamp improves grip and keeps both mechanical and electrical distortion at bay.

1. We use Royal Mail 1st Class Services as a Standard Postage Option

I use this cable to connect my PC to my Musical Fidelity DAC.
The cable is very well made, and the connectors make a good grip with the sockets., but don't expect any improvement in sound quality over a cheap cable.
I hear big differences between different analogue interconnects and speaker cables, but in this case, as much as I wanted to, I couldn't hear any difference at all.
I gave this cable four stars because of its quality build, and I think the price is right for this product.

Firstly the service from Future shop is brilliant I will definitely be using them again.
Now the cable, I bought this cable on the strength of some really outstanding reviews. Maybe my expectations were higher than they should have been but I find it a bassy and the mid range a bit thin. Hopefully over the next few weeks it will settle in and reveal its true character.

This is no detailed and systematic review of Furutech Formula Two USB cable. Just impressions. I own the highly acclaimed Supra USB cable for some time and, as I purchased a second audio system (in addition to the desktop one) I bought
Furutech as my second audiophil USB cable.
I installed the system with Furutech, and from the first minute on the Formula Two just sounded better, sharper and fuller. It actually fits better, the build structure suggests better quality, even looks better. The Supra stayed in the desktop audio, and Furutech stepped up to the living room. I hope this was helpful.

Good cable, trying it as part of a test with 4 other cables, thanks to futureshops 60day return guarantee I can give a proper trial and return if required. Having had the cable two weeks and put it through its paces the verdict is safe and steady sound. Nothing in your face regarding the high, mids and bass. only slight gripe is the soundstage could do with being a bit more open but that may and probably will come after burn in usage.
