The Pluton is Entreq's highest-performance tri-cell grounding solution, combining three Olympus Infinity T (for Tungsten) cells in one box. Single Olympus Infinity T boxes sell for £4000 each, so the Pluton offers fantastic value for its performance. Each zone has two solid-silver binding posts allowing you to connect multiple low-voltage components up to a total weight of 42kg per-zone.
A clean, solid and fixed ground point is the most important factor for precision!
The ground should be Zero. A clean, solid fixed point. A fixed point where everything in the power net can refer to as Zero. But sadly, it is far from that in reality. Entreq normally say 220V 50Hz alternative 110 V 60Hz. But there are a lot more frequencies on the power network. These are caused by the way we connect zero and protective ground together in the main central/fuse boxes and all devices we connect to the power net. All together this causes a lot of unwanted magnetic fields that can distort signals.
Current goes in and current goes out of switched devices and lighting fixtures of every kind.
All of these make the current messy. Not least computers, with their switched power units, chargers for mobile telephones, all the halogen and LED lighting, dimmers etc. all cause a great deal of high-frequency noise, stray voltages. and magnetic fields.
This noise seeks the easiest path to the earth.
And since these pollutions can be everything from 50-60 Hz to very high-frequency, weak, currents, it is not often that the path of least resistance is via the protective earth. These currents instead can find dishwashers, laundry machines, counter tops with waterpipes, etc.
Your HiFi rack and stereo set with all the cables and devices are a most attractive place.
Moreover, these high frequencies often generate magnetic fields that absolutely have influence and negative impact on sound reproduction.
The big problem is the protective ground.
Many times it is overloaded or not constructed to handle these pollutions. The safety ground can handle a real "bang" of 110-220Volt and X Watts without any problems, but when it comes to these small currents of some millivolts with very high frequencies it doesn’t always catch them. And if it catches them, it many times doesn’t get rid of them.
So, in fact, it can be the opposite. The protective ground can leak back HF pollutions to the network.
These pollutions will flow around in the power system searching for a place to ground and fade away. And places like your TV or your HiFi system, with all the cables and magnetic fields, load up them. The pollutions have simply nowhere else to go. They flow around there in their search for peaceful ground.
When connected to a groundbox you get a fixed point and offer these pollutions a place to fade away.
These high-frequency, but weak, currents are attracted by the galvanic mineral mix and the para-, dia- and ferro-magnetic metals. The high-frequency currents move over to the box, where they will be transformed.
Once you have attached one of Entreq's ground boxes and begin getting rid of HF pollutions you will hear more details in your music.
You also will get a better flow, more air and improved dynamics. To use a metaphor, it´s like when you have driven your car with the handbrake applied, and then release it. Everything works so much easier. The HF noise not only hides details, but it also has impacts on the signals flow.
Entreq use different layers of metals mixed with minerals to create a para-, dia- and ferro-magnetic galvanic point that acts like a concentrated piece of Earth. By changing the metals, minerals, size, weight, case construction and differing conductors they can achieve several levels of performance and types of grounding boxes. |
Pluton has three Olympus Infinity Tungsten cells block in one box.
With its six, pure, solid-silver binding posts the Pluton offers a level of performance & an almost limitless set of options that only Hero can better. One option in particular is the ability to ground each channel of your amplifier, via the negative speaker terminals, while simultaneously & independently being able to ground your pre-amp or DAC at the same time. This option alone offers an unrivalled level of performance. Each zone is capable of grounding equipment weighing up to 42kg.
Ground Box
Something to establish is that Entreq’s use of the term Ground does not directly relate to or mean ‘Primary Earth’ i.e. what you would understand as your ‘Protective Earth’ for your mains electricity. Entreq Ground Boxes are not designed to substitute or replace the protective ground found in your home. The function of the Entreq Ground Box is to present itself as an attractive destination for high frequency noise, stray voltages and the various issues induced by magnetic field effects. This pollution is littered across the system and is always present. Different systems attract, generate and produce different levels and types of noise! This is why Entreq offer a selection of Ground Boxes to suit every system and budget.
Get Connected
You now need to connect your Ground Box to your equipment! Establishing a connection to your hifi system with an Entreq Grounding Box couldn’t be simpler. Entreq make a range of Ground Cables called Ertha Cables that attach to any free and available connection on any product connected to your system. Connections currently catered for include: RCA, XLR, USB, BNC and RJ45. On the other end of the Ertha Cable is a spade termination that attaches to the Ground Box itself. As per the Ground Boxes these Ertha cables come in a range of levels; offering the end user the ability to closely match the right combination of both Ground Box and Ertha Cable to obtain optimal performance. Generally the key component to Ground first is often the product at the centre or hub of your system, whether that is your Pre-amplifier, Integrated amplifier or Dac/pre . Next you should consider a source component; either your CD player / DAC, Streamer, Phono stage etc. Once connected to your system the improvements are usually noticeable within minutes however the grounding process will continue to evolve. After approximately 24 hours you will in most cases have obtained the optimal result. It is not uncommon to hear continual improvements up to and beyond 72 hours!
Founded in 1999 in Sweden, Entreq is a pioneering company that stands out in the audio industry. Unlike many others, they develop, manufacture, and produce their own products, allowing them to maintain a distinctive approach that prioritises performance and avoids imitating other brands or technical solutions. With complete control over every aspect of production, including constructive materials, design, and connective processes, Entreq ensures its products are unique and focused on delivering exceptional results.
Entreq's two-decade journey has been marked by a series of innovations that have revolutionised the audio industry. While renowned for their ground boxes, they have also introduced groundbreaking products such as Audio USB cables, Audio network cables, network switches for Audio, and DC power cables. Other manufacturers have widely adopted these innovations, solidifying Entreq's position as a leader in the field.
At the core of Entreq's philosophy is a commitment to performance above all else. Their founder, a music lover since birth, recognised the importance of optimising sound quality and has prioritised this goal since purchasing his first stereo in 1973. Entreq believes that performance should take precedence over fancy packaging or expensive marketing, as the enduring impact on sound quality truly matters.
Entreq's early focus on ground purification, introduced in 2007 with their groundbreaking product Tellus, set them apart from the competition. While initially met with scepticism, customers soon experienced significant improvements in sound quality, leading to widespread recognition and appreciation for Entreq's theories about ground and the zero point. Today, their ground purification products, including Tellus and Silver Tellus, continue to be regarded as benchmarks in the industry.
Functionality and performance are paramount to Entreq. Their dedication to delivering exceptional audio experiences is evident when you unpack their products. With years of experience and knowledge, Entreq remains ahead of the curve in development, constantly pushing boundaries to create even more efficient power purification solutions.
Choose Entreq for unparalleled audio performance and discover why their innovative approach and unwavering commitment to excellence have transformed the audio industry.
