There’s the same sense of dynamics, timbre, rhythm and detail that will turn a hi-fi system into a musical system. The Shawline Analogue cable produces that wonderful sense of involvement and ease of listening that only ARAY design cables bring.
For Tuned ARAY cables to work, every aspect needs to be millimetre perfect. Hand building is crucial to the complexity of the design. Using a Tuned ARAY design within the Shawline interconnect enables us to offer you a product at a price that allows it to be matched with surprisingly inexpensive components. The Shawline conductors are built from silver-plated multi-strand oxygen free copper, insulated with high performance PTFE. The unique shielding has been designed to work across a wide frequency range and reduce mechanical interference, and is fitted with silver-plated Chord VEE 3 RCA plugs with PTFE insulation.
The Tuned ARAY conductor configuration has been designed to improve the Shawline interconnect’s capability of carrying a musical signal coherently. The conductors are contained within a specifically chosen outer jacket to ensure flexibility and to further reduce mechanical noise. The Shawline Tuned ARAY interconnect is extremely transparent and carries signals with a high degree of accuracy. This cable will help you to enjoy your system at its musically coherent best. 1. We use Royal Mail 1st Class Services as a Standard Postage Option
Orders received before 4.30pm Monday to Friday (excluding Bank Holidays) are usually dispatched the same day by FIRST CLASS post (unless premium postal or timed courier services are selected), subject to stock availability. Some places take longer to deliver to but we still guarantee delivery within three working days by 5.30 PM.
For the Next Day Special Delivery service, orders must be received by futureshop.co.uk by 4.30pm weekdays. Orders after the 4.30pm deadline cannot be guaranteed for same day dispatch.

- Cable Compatibility: We regret to inform you that we cannot burn-in cables with stripped bare ends or BFA plugs. In order for cables to undergo the burn-in process, they should be terminated or have connectors.
- Timing: Cables will be burnt in for the selected period after processing your order. For custom-length cables, the burn-in process will occur after they have been terminated by the manufacturer or our engineers unless specified otherwise in the product description.
- Availability: Future Shop provides our cable burn-in service free of charge, but its availability is at our discretion. While we strive to fulfil all burn-in requests for the specified time periods, please understand that during exceptionally busy periods, we may be unable to meet the demand due to limited connections on the Nordost Vidar cable conditioning machines.
The Nordost VIDAR cable burn-in machine integrates three key functions into one operation:
- Charge Neutralisation: It eliminates charges that accumulate around the cables and their insulation, ensuring a more balanced electrical environment.
- Deep Conditioning: The machine provides a wide band and deep conditioning process that affects the conductor core, resulting in changes to the signal transmission through the metal. This deep conditioning enhances the cable's performance.
- Ultrasonic Surface Conditioning: The VIDAR machine utilizes ultrasonic waves to condition the surface of the conductors, optimizing their contact and overall conductivity.
The VIDAR employs a proprietary combination of composite and complex signals to condition the cables. This cable to my ear has offered an improvement in the sound. Particularly clarity, tone and openness. However, depending on the quality of your system, the Clearway might be good enough at a much lower price.

I got these because after moving my equipment, I needed a 1.5 M length which had to equal or surpass my 20 yr old Chord Chorus interconnects between phono stage and amp.
I decided to try these well-reviewed ones as a change, and match, for my AudioQuest Rocket 11 speaker cables. I didn’t do burn-in, but the quality was there from the start. After a week, they are settling in and filling out - my new set up of which these are a part with Azur 851A amp is providing that lovely experience of hearing long listened to records and CD’s sound even more interesting, and exploring many others that I’ve left aside for quite a while.
One recent stand out has been Talking Heads Stop Making Sense on LP and DVD - a terrific show that is very well recorded for the movie and sounds even better now. With good new purchases, I usually end up saying - wow! I didn’t know he/she/they were that good! Bottom line - Same music is even more enjoyable; the Shawlines are definitely doing their part for me. Thanks.

Depending on your viewpoint regarding expensive cables, this is quite pricey (but not in the scale of things in the high-end market). So whether it is good or not depends on whether you think £180 is worth spending on an interconnector. I personally use these for my speaker cables and interconnectors (having compared with the chord studio at twice the price, even though there is a noticeable difference, not worth the price difference for the equipment I have). The sound I get from my system is amazing, but who is to know if it is the cables or the other components or the combination that achieves this.
I can say the cable look high quality and Chord has a great reputation and care about their products. The cable was lavishly packaged which makes you feel like you have bought quality (but I would comment that after buying 3 interconnectors and speaker cable, I don't need 4 posh boxes and the cloth bag each one comes in)

I recently acquired a graphic equaliser for room correction and was using Linn blacks and Cable Talk 3 one for in and one for out... and, with EQ off, the comparison when bypassing the equaliser made me realise how limted and flat these cables are. Already owning some 0.5m Chord Clearways in use in another system, these bucked things up. abit but are too short.
Needing 1m cables the Shawlines seemed the obvious next step for the main system. As soon as they were installed, it was a revelation. I genuinely didn't expect that much of a change, but it like having my ears syringed. Using on a Hicapped Supernait in to PMC FB1+... awesome match. Bought another pair for the phono stage the same day! And great service from the best cable shop ta!

Recently updated my bedroom Hi-Fi set up interconnects with the Chord Shawline previously had AudioQuest which I was never really a fan of. The Chord was night & day better almost straight away & now that I have had them a while I wish I had got them years ago. My Cyrus amps sound a lot more balanced & detailed than before & all for a modest outlay.
