Great cables. Really deep bass provided, high frequencies very well extended. More detail, clear voices, can hear singers between instruments clearly. Very good spacing, large stage with width and height. No sweetness. Dynamic sound with a punch. Top choice.

Rumour X speaker cable is brilliant. An obvious upgrade could be seen in different aspects: more spacing and depth, more details to show, instruments separation more clear. I can feel strength and contrast to show when instruments are playing or Singers singing. I could enjoy more Piano overtone now. Neutral sound with the least colouring.

Only one negative point: the free ends of each cable are too short to be comfortably connected to the loudspeakers. It results in a physical tension to reach 100% of the loudspeakers blocks… (Bowers & Wilkins 804 D)

Cheaply made banana plugs

After all the hype around these cables they arrived and one of the banana plugs had a misaligned sling clip that meant it wouldn’t go into any of the holes it was supposed to fit. I had to use some very particular pliers to bend it to a shape that would fit and now it’s slightly looser than it should be. Not very impressed at this price but couldn’t be bothered to go through a replacement cycle because life is too short.

Hi Tim, I am sorry to hear about the problem with the plug. This is very rare indeed. Please return the cable; we will gladly exchange it for you.
The plugs are designed to be a tight fit for a good connection and prevent them from becoming loose in the socket when used with heavy speaker cables. Apply gentle pressure to the plug while moving it very slightly from side to side, and you should find the plug will enter the hole in the centre of the post. Please note it won’t go all the way in; sometimes, it is only halfway.
