Despite the five stars award, I feel this cable is decent at this price range. Overall it has a balanced sound. However, the cable needs some improvement in terms of resolution and transparency.

I am impressed by the wide and detailed sound I get from those cables. I listen to different kinds of music - opera, orchestral, chamber, jazz - every instrument or voice is perfectly and faithfully represented.

I'd been using an earlier Chord Silver Siren between my CD player and amplifier. In re-organising and refining my HiFi components, I replaced some old cheap interconnects. The Silver Siren is now between my turntable pre-amp and amp, and the Clearway links my Rega CD player to my amplifier.

After being burned in, I could listen to the separation between the instruments much clearer, vocals were crisper, and the bass was tighter. I am no audiophile, although I do use the cables in my DJ setup to tell when the equipment helps because my mixes become tighter.

Fantastic cable and you will have to spend twice as much to beat it on sound quality.

On a downer and nothing to do with the product or Futureshop, those that live in the EU might well get a surprise when you have to pay customs on the item. In this case 26 euros (on 2 pairs of cables bought).
