The Chord Clearway Analogue cable features unique Chord Company ARAY conductor geometry, developed from the award-winning Sarum Tuned ARAY. ARAY conductor geometry allows us to produce cables that carry high levels of detail and dynamic information. Most importantly, this ARAY conductor cable carries signals with real musical coherence. Every Clearway interconnect is built to an exacting standard and rigorously tested at their UK facility. The Clearway Analogue is part of a range of interconnects and speaker cables, including analogue and digital cables, along with the award-winning Chord Clearway speaker cable.
The Clearway Analogue features Chord's unique ARAY conductor geometry. Conductors are high quality oxygen free copper, insulated with FEP and mechanically damped with a specially selected PVC. Shielding is provided by dual layer heavy gauge foil.
The Clearway is fitted with Chord VEE 3 RCA plugs, including PTFE insulation between signal / return contacts. The VEE 3 RCA is a low mass RCA plug with direct silver-plating to improve signal transfer. The cable is available as custom lengths and Terminations. The Clearway is also available in silver-plated XLR and silver-plated DIN connectors.
To obtain the best results from this cable, Chord recommend you follow these simple instructions :
- Switch off all equipment before fitting or removing cables.
- Connect the cable so that the arrow on the cable points away from the source component.
- The “C” of Chord should be nearest the source

Some places take longer to deliver to but we still guarantee delivery within three working days by 5.30 PM.
For the Next Day Special Delivery service, orders must be received by futureshop.co.uk by 4.30pm weekdays. Orders after the 4.30pm deadline cannot be guaranteed for same day dispatch.

- Cable Compatibility: We regret to inform you that we cannot burn-in cables with stripped bare ends or BFA plugs. In order for cables to undergo the burn-in process, they should be terminated or have connectors.
- Timing: Cables will be burnt in for the selected period after processing your order. For custom-length cables, the burn-in process will occur after they have been terminated by the manufacturer or our engineers unless specified otherwise in the product description.
- Availability: Future Shop provides our cable burn-in service free of charge, but its availability is at our discretion. While we strive to fulfil all burn-in requests for the specified time periods, please understand that during exceptionally busy periods, we may be unable to meet the demand due to limited connections on the Nordost Vidar cable conditioning machines.
The Nordost VIDAR cable burn-in machine integrates three key functions into one operation:
- Charge Neutralisation: It eliminates charges that accumulate around the cables and their insulation, ensuring a more balanced electrical environment.
- Deep Conditioning: The machine provides a wide band and deep conditioning process that affects the conductor core, resulting in changes to the signal transmission through the metal. This deep conditioning enhances the cable's performance.
- Ultrasonic Surface Conditioning: The VIDAR machine utilizes ultrasonic waves to condition the surface of the conductors, optimizing their contact and overall conductivity.
The VIDAR employs a proprietary combination of composite and complex signals to condition the cables. I have two pairs of Clearway interconnect connected from preamp to 16 bits antique cd player and 24 bits modern cd players, respectfully. The result is satisfactory for 16 bits cd playing more open, bright, silky, natural. The 24 bits cd plays more detailed, instruments separation, more clarity and depth.
Remarks: above upgrade is more obvious when I shift to Chord Rumour X speaker.

I only listen through headphones, and about five years ago, I bought some recommended interconnects to link my headphone amplifier (class A amplification) to my cd player.
The overall "soundscape" then included incredible detail, and the overall BALANCE of what was reaching my ears overcame a perceived positioning problem.
I recently bought a more critical pair of headphones, and the perceived positioning problem returned, so I bought these Chord Clearways (0.25M shorter). The detail is incredible, and the overall balance of sounds and positions is improved. EXCELLENT and good value !!

I purchased a Clearway RCA about 18 months ago and was very satisfied with how it sounded. However, I purchased the new version of Clearway RCA with ChorAlloy terminations last month based on the updated review (see link below) in What-HiFi. I took a few weeks to listen to music from many genres that I am very familiar with. Overall I noticed that everything I listened to sounded noticeably better. Gone was the only occasionally slight but noticeable sizzle that was present in the original Clearway. Also, the base is a bit tighter, the voices are more organic, and the string instruments' inner detail is better presented in the ChorAlloy version.
An excellent example is within the album Appalachian Journey by Yo-Yo Ma, Edgar Meyer, Mark O'Connor, w/ James Taylor, and Allison Krause. Even my Spotify playlists sound better with the newer cable. I am very happy with this new cable and will be putting my original Clearway up for sale on eBay.

After reading several reviews about this cable (Chord Clearway RCA), I took the deep (spent £125 for a 1m) to upgrade from the Chord C-Line RCA.
As described in reviews, the sound is more precise and more engaging. Honestly trying to wrap my mind around the new sound of the system, i.e. even my SVS 1000pro subwoofer now sounds cleaner and less boomy.
Based on this experience, it appears Chord's cables got something special going with them, perhaps the positive reviews.
I have now purchased the Chord RumourX speaker cables, upgrading from an award-winning Audioquest Rocket 11 speaker cable. I want to receive them from Future Shop and experience the Chord speaker cable.

After being burned in, I could listen to the separation between the instruments much clearer, vocals were crisper, and the bass was tighter. I am no audiophile, although I do use the cables in my DJ setup to tell when the equipment helps because my mixes become tighter.
