Caig DeoxIT Gold Contact Cleaning Fluid 2ml Tube
Unique contact cleaner, conditioner, enhancer, lubricant and protectant for PLATED metal surfaces. Improves conductivity, maintains optimum signal quality, reduces fretting & dendrite corrosion, and stabilizes connections between similar and dissimilar metals. Molecularly bonds to both base-metals and plated surfaces and seals out oxygen, protecting both surfaces. The DeoxIT® Gold coating is excellent at reducing wear abrasion, arcing, RFI and intermittent connections and improves connector performance/reliability. Ideal for gold plated surfaces. On oxidized surfaces, pre-treat with DeoxIT® D-Series contact cleaner. Temperature range: -45 to +240OC.
Not only does DeoxIT Gold remove the nasty spotting and discolouration of metal connectors, regular use of DeoxIT contact cleaner really breathes life into an old system for hardly any outlay. It's impossible to eliminate impurities like oxygen having a degrading effect on your copper and gold-plated plugs and sockets, so a quick buff with a droplet of DeoxIT every so often is all you need to do.

DeoxIT® Gold G100L concentrate has approximately 0.5% chemical cleaning action. Excellent conductivity enhancing, excellent protection, minimum cleaning/deoxidizing, no ozone depletion. Prevents dendrite and fretting corrosion. Protects base metals. Reduces intermittent connections, arcing, RFI, wear and abrasion. Ideal for both stationary and moving (vibration) connections.
Which DeoxIT® product do I Use :
Use DeoxIT® Gold G-Series conditioner on new surfaces, and gold plated surfaces. Ideal for preventing dendrite/fretting corrosion. Protects both surface and base metals. Ideal for critical applications. Contains >1% active cleaner.
Directions for Use :
- Turn off, unplug the device.
- On surfaces that have been in service or have visual signs of oxidation or corrosion pre-treat with DeoxIT® D-Series contact cleaner
- Apply a small amount to the metal contact/connector surface.
- Operate the part/device to help distribute the DeoxIT® Gold and break up minor amounts of oxides and contamination. Test for compatibility before use.
- Re-apply DeoxIT® Gold to metal surface and wipe off excess. It is important to wipe off excess, DeoxIT® Gold works best when a thin coating is on metal surfaces. Wait two minutes before turning on equipment. Test for compatibility before use.
- If you notice a green or black coloration on the surface (may take a few days) after applying DeoxIT® Gold, this indicates dissolved oxidation (surface was severely oxidized). Follow step “2-5” above one more time.

1. We use Royal Mail 1st Class Services as a Standard Postage Option
Orders received before 4.30pm Monday to Friday (excluding Bank Holidays) are usually dispatched the same day by FIRST CLASS post (unless premium postal or timed courier services are selected), subject to stock availability. All items are fully insured and come with an invoice from Futureshop.co.uk. We use the Royal Mail for delivery of small packages and DPD or Interlink Express for items that weigh over 2KG. Items over 2KG are fully insured and will usually be delivered within 48 hours of placing your order Monday to Friday subject to stock availability. For International orders, we use FedEx Services where customers have selected this option.

2. Special Delivery UK - Guaranteed Next Working Day
We have 99.9% of the UK covered With Royal Mail Next Day Special Delivery. We guarantee delivery to most UK addresses by 1pm the next working day. This includes Northern Ireland, Jersey and Guernsey. Some places take longer to deliver to but we still guarantee delivery within three working days by 5.30 PM.
For the Next Day Special Delivery service, orders must be received by futureshop.co.uk by 4.30pm weekdays. Orders after the 4.30pm deadline cannot be guaranteed for same day dispatch.
Please note, Royal Mail Special Delivery for next working day may not be possible where non-standard cable lengths are ordered. If this is the case, the item will be shipped via The Royal Mail Special Delivery service as soon as the cable is custom made.
For orders weighing over 2KG, we reserve the right to ship items using Next Day Pre-Noon Courier Services where Royal Mail Special Delivery option has been selected.
3. Channel Islands & Northern Ireland
We accept orders from all Channel Islands including Alderney, Jersey, Guernsey and Sark. Unless you select a premium service, Items weighing under 2KG are delivered using our standard UK delivery option above. For items weighing over 2KG, a surcharge may be applied for all deliveries to the Channel Islands as well as Northern Ireland.
European Countries
Deliveries to EU member states are subject to 20% VAT. We offer the following shipping services:
- Royal Mail First Class International Untracked Airmail Services - Items are usually delivered within 10 working days.

It's great to know Deoxit Gold 100% is here and available at Future Shop in the UK. Before I had to buy Deoxit Gold 100% from the USA which meant up to a 3-week wait most times. After trying other products I personally believe the Deoxit products are among the very best on the market and as always Future shop delivered the next day even over the Xmas holiday period. I will definitely be buying more products from Future Shop, as I write this I am in the process of phoning Future shop as I am very curious about iFi Audio.

First I cleaned the RCA sockets with Caig Deoxit contact cleaning fluid, and then applied this Gold cleaning fluid. It is well worth the trouble of unplugging the amp to do this properly, it took a couple of hours to clean the speaker terminals and RCA sockets with cotton buds, and the results were amazing. It is a really posh cleaner, and the terminals look like new. My amp has stopped clicking now when I put it on standby.
Did not expect much in terms of sound improvement .....

Did not expect much in terms of sound improvement but was pleasantly surprised to hear a distinct improvement in clarity when used on the contacts of my ifi audio chain. I could hear the distinct almost breaking point in Adele's voice slightly more distinctly. Add to that it also protects the surface of the contacts from oxidation and such, money well spent.
