I bought this to tame my bi-wired Q-Acoustics 2050is, known for big or excess bass. My previous cables (AudioQuest F18 4x solid-core) were not helping in that regard, so I was shopping for a brighter, more even sound.

They were constructed with spade plugs. The sound presentation is clearer, wider and far better balanced, with more detail/control. Hearing things in your fave tracks that you never heard before is the high we all chase, right? I wish I had a detached house to let it rip!

This cable does not disappoint, and I highly recommend it.

This is an astonishing speaker cable for the money. Comparable in sound quality to just about anything at any price. It sounds beautifully balanced, weighted and even-handed.

It doesn't seem to do anything wrong.

To connect my NAD M10v2 with B&W 704s2 in Bi-Wire configuration, I selected these Audioquest cables. I was surprised by the clear and also very deep sound. No discussion that this configuration was better than my Single wire setup with 'regular' cable.

I had already tested my system in various layouts. By far, the best was bi-amping with my Arcam Alpha 8 and power amp. I was not expecting a lot of difference in changing the cables. Previously a standard cheaper hi-fi cable.

The difference was immediate. Layers of detail were improved, and the overall balance of vocals and instruments improved. Before, higher volumes had given harsh vocals on some tracks. The new cables improved this dramatically.

It is of note that my wife and daughter, who normally do not notice when I tweak something, certainly did this time.

Also to note was that I updated the interconnect between the Amps to an AudioQuest Tower. This also improved things.

Having also equalled the cable lengths meant I no longer needed to use the balance control, meaning my previous unequal lengths definitely affected the balance.

The burn-in option is great as you get the full effect immediately.

These cables are exactly as good as all the professional reviews say. The improvement in sound quality is really remarkable.

These cables allowed me turn off the tone-mode (adjustable bass & treble levels) on my amplifier (Marantz PM-14S1) for the first time ever and enjoy the accurate original soundstage of my CDs and vinyl.

My first listen, with the new cables attached, was Herbie Hancock's Chameleon, my jaw almost dropped off, these cables are simply that good. I did not do the research on my previous cables and it truly matters, what kind of cables you use, lesson learned!

I had thicker, older, can’t-remember-the-brand cables. Seriously massive upgrade. Like getting better speakers entirely. I did not expect the difference to be of that scale. Even the volume went up significantly.
