For many applications, the speed of digital communication is important. Most visibly, “speed” is about transferring large files as quickly as possible, or carrying enough data for an HD video. For USB audio (and for HDMI audio), “speed” is critical not because of how-much how-fast, but because time relationships within a digital stream are critical to the reconstruction of the analogue wave form that brings information, music and joy to our ears. Time-based damage (jitter) to this information within the data package makes the sound small and flat instead of 3D, harsh and foggy instead of smooth and clear.

Solid 5% Silver Conductors :
Solid conductors eliminate strand-interaction distortion and reduce jitter. Solid silver-plated conductors are excellent for very high-frequency applications, like USB audio. These signals, being such a high frequency, travel almost exclusively on the surface of the conductor. As the surface is made of high-purity silver, the performance is very close to that of a solid silver cable but priced much closer to solid copper cable. This is an incredibly cost-effective way of manufacturing very high-quality USB cables.
Solid High-Density Polyethylene Insulation :
Any solid material adjacent to a conductor is actually part of an imperfect circuit. Wire insulation and circuit board materials all absorb energy (loss). Some of this energy is stored and then later released as distortion. Solid High-Density Polyethylene Insulation ensures critical signal-pair geometry while minimizing insulation-induced phase distortion.
Multi-Layer Carbon-Based Noise and Crosstalk-Dissipation System
This cable's negative conductors are covered with partially conductive Carbon-Loaded Polyethylene. This remarkable material reduces radio-frequency garbage being fed back into the amplifier. The sonic benefit is exactly the same reduction in "hash" and improved dimensionality that comes whenever RF interference is reduced in an audio circuit. In addition, a carbon layer damps interaction between positive and negative conductors, and an external Carbon-Based NDS System reduces external interference.
Silver-Plated Terminations :
Precision direct-silver plated pins are carefully attached with the very best solder. Through a choice of flux and metallurgy, AQ solder has been optimized to make a low-distortion connection. The difference you hear between solders is a result of connection quality. AQ Solder does not have a high silver content because the more silver there is in solder, the more difficult it is to make a good connection.

Now, I'm not sure how much you believe in snake oil, but this cable connecting my Chord Mojo 2 to my Meze Empyrean via Lavricables Grand is superb.
I have a very expensive main setup that includes the Grimm MU2, Feliks Envy, and Susvara, so I know what sounds good. I have tried cheaper USB cables, and yes, they sound great, too, but this really sounds a notch up.
Better soundstage and increased dynamics. As an IT professional, it makes no sense, but its pricing is not that ridiculous, so just go for it! At least it's not 1k.

I'm not one to write reviews, but I'm literally stunned at the sound difference this has made over the Focal Bathys’ stock cable in DAC mode.
After many hours of listening, I went back to the standard cable & it felt like I had downgraded my headphones. The sound was muddy & lacked clarity. This cable has elevated the listening experience greatly & brought new life to my favourite tracks.
I already thought these headphones were amazing, but comparing this cable side by side to the stock one, it's unbelievable! I am fully converted, cables make all the difference!

I have just received this cable from Futureshop and am currently using it with my newish Focal Bathys headphones in DAC mode, the source being my iPhone 12.
The tracks played so far have all been in 24-bit/ 192kHz format. I am delighted with the cable and the marked improvement in sound quality and imaging over the stock cable supplied with the headphones.

I was looking for a USB C cable to connect my Focusrite Clarett 4Pre to my desktop PC.
Standard USB C cables by the likes of UGreen or Anker will do the job perfectly well for general listening. But if, like me, you use your external sound card for DJing or producing music, then the extra detail and tightness this AudioQuest Carbon USB C cable gives is like the difference between a basic pair of computer monitors and studio monitors.

I am currently using a Chord Mojo 2 (Crossfeed enabled because I love it) with the Audeze LCD X 2021 headphone and was wondering how I could improve my sound setup even further. The customer service at Future Shop is on another level, and you can tell how passionate they are about sound. If you ever have the pleasure of talking to Jeff or Mark, you will know what I am talking about. So I was reading online about audio cables and if they can improve the sound.
Many reviews will tell you that cables don't matter but seeing is believing, so I tried them myself. I bought the AudioQuest Cinnamon cable to compare to my standard Oneplus 7 pro phone cable, and my mind was blown. Everything was better, the soundstage, the detail and the clarity. But recently, I read comparisons between the Cinnamon and the Carbon cables and decided to buy one. I am only on day 6 with the Carbon, and to sum up my thoughts in one word, it would be WOW!!!. The cable isn't even burned in yet, and it sounds much better than the Cinnamon cable.
The bass's detail is sublime and almost makes the Cinnamon sound muddy. The soundstage again is even wider and the clarity in both the instruments and vocals is far better. The instrument and vocal separation are on another level to the point where you can pick apart whatever you are listening to or watching. Don't get me wrong, the Cinnamon is a great cable, but the Carbon is a big step up in every department, and given the price difference for five times more silver, it's a no-brainer because it shines through in the sound. I can recommend both cables, but if you are having trouble deciding, just get the Carbon even if it means waiting longer because your ears will thank you for it.
