This cable has created a new world of transparency, purity and detail.

Extremely satisfied with the cable and certainly with Futureshop. Thanks, Geoff

Among the best customer service out there. Super helpful advice. Smooth delivery to NZ, thank you.

My previous QED XT40’s are great value, but these Atlas hyper 3.5’s produce a very noticeable step up in performance in my set-up (lumin u1 mini, curious USB, black ice DAC, QED reference interconnect, Yamaha as1100, excite x34’s, svs sb1000pro, low frequency treated room).

Compared to the XT40’s my primary impression is of a greater cohesion in the soundstage, which leads to a more relaxed presentation. They shine across the frequency spectrum, but the mids are particularly lovely with heft.

Bottom line, very much worth it for me for the greater musical enjoyment. I opted for burn-in.

Now I know is meant by depth!

I recently stepped up into the hifi realm by buying a pair of Focal Sopra No two speakers and Hegel H390 amp. My system is in a large open plan living area, so the cable run for the speakers is 12 metres. I had been using domestic speaker cable but, at the suggestion of Adam at Futureshop, bought the Atlas Hyper 3.5. The difference in sound quality was striking - improved definition, clarity, dynamics, and depth. I never knew what was meant by depth, but now I’ve heard it. I guess it is the ability to discern micro-dynamics. I highly recommend this cable.

Atlas all the way

I’m an exclusive user of Altas cables for the last 20 years. And I intend to use Atlas cables for all the coming years too! Quite simply, the Hyper 3.5 lets all the audio signal pass through to your speakers. It does so in an audibly unrestrained way and seemingly doesn’t add to or remove anything from the audio signal. Technically, it’s the optimal gauge/thickness for the typical lengths used in the home (for me 2 x 4 metres) as it’s sufficiently thick to pass the full frequency spectrum of the signal while at the same time avoiding unwanted ‘skin effects’ that can plague super thick cables! (Skin effect is when the signal travels on the outer circumference of the cable conductor instead of through the entire section of the cable conductor. Skin effect negatively affects sound quality). The copper conductor purity is high and a good dielectric is used, and in my experience, by avoiding the use of different combined metals in the conductors, this contributes to a natural and organic delivery. This cable doesn’t add a false ethereal air, or brightness, or forwardness to the audio signal. It’s a neutral cable that isn’t dull and doesn’t rob audio of natural life and energy. If you have good equipment (or not so good equipment) this cable will reveal it truthfully. If your system has good (or bad) dynamics, detail, speed, timing, tonality, control of syballants, openness, body/weight, poise, etc. then this cable will show you without frills or fuss.

The new ‘achromatic’ terminations are of excellent quality and make a great contact with your equipment. As a tip, if you find your system throws out too much bass (even when your speakers are positioned as optimally as possible), then go for the thinner Hyper 2.0 (or even thinner Hyper 1.5), which may just temper the lower frequency output. Otherwise, the Hyper 3.5 comes highly recommended.

Recent upgrade - what a difference!

Upgrade from 20 year old QED with purchase of Naim Uniti Nova, run with Spendor D7 speakers. Huge difference with more neutral sound, loss of top-end brightness and pleasing depth to base and mid-range.

A very worthwhile investment. Thanks too for the advice from the FutureShop team!

Atlas Hyper 3.5 speaker cables. Excellent transparecy.

I ordered an Atlas Hyper 3.5 speaker cable, for my AV system centre channel, from Future Shop as a trial and was blown away. I contacted Future Shop and after speaking to them, ordered the left and right speaker cables for use in my AV system and my Linn stereo system, and again I was blown away.

Transparency and clarity are the things that I noticed immediately, performers seem to be there in front of you. And after listening for a while the music just seemed to blend together better than before.

I can definitely recommend Atlas Hyper 3.5 speaker cable and the Future Shop for their advice and price. I would definitely use them for cables in the future.

Atlas Hyper 3.5 have transformed my listening experience

Upgraded my cables from Naim ones and the difference has blown me away. Atlas Hyper 3.5 were designed and tested with transparency on Naim systems in mind and these meet that goal and more. Not only do they provide more neutrality, the wider soundstage and the separation of instruments is delightful. It feels like I am listening to live music again (if anyone remembers what that is!).

Futureshop were incredibly helpful in advising on cable lengths, without any of the hype, as I have a 7 metre run to one speaker and a 2 metre distance to the other. We went with 7m and 3.5m lengrhs on the basis that for a mid-range system like mine, any impedence effect would not be noticeable as long as the lengths differed by no more than 50%.

System: Naim Supernait amp, Naim NDX streamer, Spendor D7 speakers, Rega Planar 8

Transparent speaker cable exceeded my expectation.

I have a Denon AV system and a Linn music system. Both systems share Focal Aria 926 speakers and I just swap the speaker cables over to whatever system I am listening to. I also have a Focal centre speaker for the AV system.

I recently added Bluesound Node 2i streamer which I use on both systems. This highlighted that the AV and the Linn systems were a bit bright and harsh at higher volumes with this streamer. I decided to explore a change of speaker cables and read reviews of many types (QED, Chord and Atlas Hyper 3.5). As I often use the AV amp in surround mode, even when listening to the Node 2i, I decided to buy a one metre Hyper 3.5 cable for my centre speaker as a trial. I ordered this terminated from Future Shop.

When it arrived, and after a few days listening, I was simply blown away. The experienced gains exceeded what I was expecting. The improvement was significant. My listening experience improved no end. Everything was more focused and life like. You could more easily follow musical rhythms and the level of detail was much improved. It was more like listening to a performance than a recording. My TV and Blue Ray viewing experience was also much improved. A week later, and after speaking to the Future Shop, I ordered two lengths of Hyper 3.5 for my left and right speakers which I will also use with my Linn music system. I again ordered these cables terminated from Future Shop and this time specified a 96 hour burn in.

I can't wait for them to arrive and experience the improvement in my Linn system, especially with the turntable (LP12/Ekos/Klyde).

I would definitely recommend this cable and the Future Shop for their advice.

Excellent service

Excellent service quickly delivered even though ordered just a few days before christmas. Gary responded to emails requesting advice promptly.

The cable made a very significant improvement to the sound. I am not very good at describing sound but bass and sound stage seemed much improved.

I was intrigued by how much difference the cable made would of liked the opportunity to try different options at home with my system to see which cable I preferred but will probably just stick with the Atlas as they are good but the doubt remains could another cable be even better!
