For a limited time only, celebrate the launch of the EOS Superior em with a blinding 50% off the Eos Module 4.0em. Make sure you get yours now before stock runs out!
The Atlas EOS Superior em Mains Power Cable is a cutting-edge solution for audiophiles seeking the cleanest power supply for their high-fidelity systems. Designed to combat RFI (radio frequency interference) and EMI (electromagnetic interference), this premium power cable ensures an impeccably noise-free performance, unveiling your system's full potential. Its advanced construction features high-purity 4mm² OFC conductors, a dual-drain low-distortion 360° shielding system, and triple multi-core architecture for unparalleled electrical integrity.
The precision-engineered dielectric and meticulously damped structure reduce unwanted vibration, maintaining tonal accuracy and dynamic range. With the Electro Magnetic (EM) technology and Atlas's proprietary Grun Coherent Ground System, this cable is the cornerstone of a clean power foundation, enhancing soundstage precision, imaging, and overall musicality.
Encased in a striking Titanium fabric finish, the EOS Superior em combines aesthetic elegance with superior build quality. It integrates seamlessly with Atlas’s Eos Modular Power Management System, offering a logical upgrade path for evolving systems. Whether you're spinning vinyl or streaming, this cable delivers pure, uninterrupted power, allowing every nuance of your music to shine through.
It’s widely accepted that the quality of mains power can substantially affect the performance of hi-fi & home cinema systems, and most definitely not in a good way. The cleanest possible, highest-quality power supply is an absolute requisite to have any hope of reliably hearing the full performance potential of your system. Compromises in power distribution and cabling will limit both absolute sound quality and the consistency of the results. This is just as true for digital/streaming components as for sources and amplifiers.
Atlas has been at the forefront of battling noise, protecting against RF (RadioFrequency) and EM (ElectroMagnetic) interference. in the design of pretty much everything we make for a considerable length of time.
Our cables frequently feature more sophisticated levels of shielding and at comparatively lower price points than many others, and our Grun Coherent Ground System is a well-established leader in its field. As one expansive US review concluded, “The Grun system has an edge because it’s such a holistic approach… Separately, these products all work. Together they are formidable.”
Power blocks and cables are the basic building blocks; ours are designed to fully complement each other, allowing a consistent, logical approach to combinations and a clear upgrade path as your system evolves. At the very top of our evolutionary chain is the new Eos Superior em power cable, the pinnacle of our power cable design expertise; a low-contact resistance cable with high-current capability and an impeccable noise-free performance pedigree.
A new multi-layer carbon-loaded/OFC shielding configuration with dual-drain distortion-free screen system encases high-purity high current capacity 4mm² OFC conductors. Particular attention has been paid not only to the electrical design but also to addressing the harmful effects of unwanted vibration. Conductors, their enclosing high-efficiency dielectric and the terminating connections themselves benefit from precisely-targetted damping.
We've moved both build quality and aesthetics onto another level, the Eos Superior em looks stunning in its default Titanium fabric finish and feels superb in the hand. Power and precision.
Connect the cable. The result might surprise you. You know the equipment connected via an Eos Superior em is switched on, because you can see the power indicator is illuminated. But there's a sense of nothing being there. Silence. Press ‘Play.’ Lower the tonearm. Select a stream. Whatever your preference when it comes to listening to your favourite music, music is all you'll be hearing. In the absence of the signal-modulating 'noise' you now realise was previously there all along, the dynamic range will be greater, soundstage imaging more precise. Music has weight, presence, tonal accuracy and subtleties in timing and inflection become more apparent.
Congratulations. Your system now sounds Superior.
The importance of clean power. We live in an extremely polluted environment in electrical terms. Mobile phones, computers, appliances and even our hifi/AV systems themselves all contribute to RFI (radio frequency interference) and EMI (electromagnetic interference). These all create ‘noise’ which adversely affects the performance of your equipment. Your equipment itself and your household wiring typically also add to the problem.
Ensuring a clean power supply is a fundamental step in removing noise and optimising performance, which is why we’ve created the Eos Modular Power Management System, comprising a mains block offering either unfiltered or a combination of filtered/unfiltered sockets (for different equipment types) and a series of power cables.
Eos is the foundation of our approach to power: complementary distribution blocks and mains cables, each designed to minimise the harmful ingress of extraneous noise into the audio chain. Eos Modular power blocks are the ideal complement to our Grun Coherent Ground System.
Our unique ‘dd’ system connects the screen without distorting, twisting or mechanically stressing the precision-laid screen, which can all cause measurable performance anomalies.
We have invested in machinery to quickly and efficiently perform a number of the key stages in our manufacturing process. But working with our dual-drain system is one of those instances where there’s no substitute for the experience of a skilled operator.
Normally screened cables suffer from screen distortion when they are prepared for production. (If you’ve ever wired a plug or connector which uses a screened cable, you've done this yourself, cutting back and probably twisting the screening braid for termination). This distortion of the screen has a measurable impact, effectively changing the impedance and therefore the performance of the cable.
Our ‘dd’ configuration is based on a simplified version of the techniques originally developed for our Mavros and Asimi interconnects. Twin symmetrical drain wires (each attached to 180° segments of the plug) are inserted between a 100% copper/Mylar™ foil and screen.
The unique dd system connects the screen effectively to the cable return/plug interface, meaning the cable can be terminated without distorting, twisting or mechanically stressing the precision-laid screen. The benefits are in maintaining a consistent low impedance load to the plug, and a total 360° screening against noise and signal loss caused by RFI (Radio Frequency Interference).
A pair of identically matched conductors (one for signal path, the other acts as the return conductor) enclosed within a non-conducting screen.
To ensure the best possible connection between your system, Future Shop recommends the DeoxIT Gold G-Series contact enhancer.
DeoxIT Gold is carefully applied to the plug contacts of your cable and is a unique conditioning solution designed to improve conductivity and provide long-lasting protection on gold, base metals and other precious metal contacts and connections. DeoxIT Gold penetrates plated surfaces, molecularly bonding to the base metals to seal and protect both surfaces.
The benefits of applying DeoxIT gold are:
Please select this option from the above ‘Contact Enhancer’ drop-down menu and our engineers will apply the contact solution to your cable connectors prior to shipping.
Atlas Cables are a major producer of interconnects and cables in the United Kingdom of Great Britain. All products are researched, developed and most are assembled in the Atlas purpose built factory in Scotland.
Many of these products are unique and use advanced techniques of production or manufacture in order to bring to the user the very finest quality products. With each new model we continue to push the boundaries of reliability and performance. It's little wonder then, that Atlas Cables have had so many mile-stone advances in the past and that Atlas Cables have secured so many awards in comparative tests against other products.
