It’s widely accepted that the quality of mains power can substantially affect the performance of hi-fi & home cinema systems, and most definitely not in a good way. The cleanest possible, highest-quality power supply is an absolute requisite to have any hope of reliably hearing the full performance potential of your system. Compromises in power distribution and cabling will limit both absolute sound quality and the consistency of the results. Electro Magnetic

The importance of clean power. We live in an extremely polluted environment in electrical terms. Mobile phones, computers, appliances and even our hifi/AV systems themselves all contribute to RFI (radio frequency interference) and EMI (electromagnetic interference). These all create ‘noise’ which adversely affects the performance of your equipment. Your equipment itself and your household wiring typically also add to the problem.

Ensuring a clean power supply is a fundamental step in removing noise and optimising performance, which is why we’ve created the Eos Modular Power Management System, comprising a mains block offering either unfiltered or a combination of filtered/unfiltered sockets (for different equipment types) and a series of power cables.

Eos is the foundation of our approach to power: complementary distribution blocks and mains cables, each designed to minimise the harmful ingress of extraneous noise into the audio chain. Eos Modular power blocks are the ideal complement to our Grun Coherent Ground System.

Dual Drain Low Distortion 360 Degree Screen

Our unique ‘dd’ system connects the screen without distorting, twisting or mechanically stressing the precision-laid screen, which can all cause measurable performance anomalies.

We have invested in machinery to quickly and efficiently perform a number of the key stages in our manufacturing process. But working with our dual-drain system is one of those instances where there’s no substitute for the experience of a skilled operator.

Normally screened cables suffer from screen distortion when they are prepared for production. (If you’ve ever wired a plug or connector which uses a screened cable, you've done this yourself, cutting back and probably twisting the screening braid for termination). This distortion of the screen has a measurable impact, effectively changing the impedance and therefore the performance of the cable.

Our ‘dd’ configuration is based on a simplified version of the techniques originally developed for our Mavros and Asimi interconnects. Twin symmetrical drain wires (each attached to 180° segments of the plug) are inserted between a 100% copper/Mylar™ foil and screen.

The unique dd system connects the screen effectively to the cable return/plug interface, meaning the cable can be terminated without distorting, twisting or mechanically stressing the precision-laid screen. The benefits are in maintaining a consistent low impedance load to the plug, and a total 360° screening against noise and signal loss caused by RFI (Radio Frequency Interference).

Triple Multi-Core Construction

A pair of identically matched conductors (one for signal path, the other acts as the return conductor) enclosed within a non-conducting screen.
