Atlas Element SC USB Type A to Type B Cable
The new generation of Atlas' acclaimed Element, with a solid core copper conductor, designed to provide maximum performance from computer audio sources. Typically used to connect a Mac, PC or streamer to the DAC or digital input in your hifi system.
Digital theory suggests that data is nothing more than a stream of ‘ones & zeros’ and all a cable has to do is transfer the data from one device to another. While that’s essentially true with regard to connecting your printer, it turns out to be an overly simplistic view when considering USB audio devices.
The latest generation of Atlas' hugely popular Element USB cable is the Element SC (solid core) USB. Through extensive testing, Atlas found that the use of solid core silver-plated copper conductors covered in low-loss foamed polyethylene delivered the most consistent performance for the data streams.The use of solid core conductors reduces internal data reflections between each strand of each conductor, and allows for the exact measurement of each twisted pair, meaning that all data transmitted along the cable reaches the receiver at exactly the same time, reducing ‘jitter’ (noise) and increasing performance.
Combined with newly developed triple-screening and hefty power & ground conductors, plus unique Atlas-designed connector plugs, the SC USB is engineered to maintain consistent cable impedance. Both technically and sonically, the SC USB cable achieves ‘best in class’ performance.

Precision moulded, 360° screened USB Type A connector with superior transmission & reception properties, maintaining the termination characteristic impedance.
Oxygen Free Copper (OFC)
OFC is produced through an extrusion process which takes place in an oxygen-free-inert-gas atmosphere. This leads to a reduced oxygen content (10 ppm) when compared to Tough Pitch Copper (TPC) and an improvement in conductivity which typically measures in at between 0.5% and 2% greater than TPC. The OFC process therefore produces a much higher quality audio cable than the TPC process. High purity conductors sound clearer than their unprocessed (TPC) counterparts because there are fewer crystal boundaries present to cause signal degradation.

PEF Dielectric
PVC (Poly Vinyl Chloride) is cheap to produce and, as such, is the most commonly used insulation in AV cables. However, PVC is the worst quality insulation a Hi-Fi or AV signal can encounter as its high loss causes a significant reduction in signal velocity. PVC is better suited to power cables and should be avoided in Hi-Fi and AV signal cables.
Other dielectrics in common use are Polyethylene, Polypropylene and Polytetrafluoride Epoxy (better known as PTFE (Teflon™) or Teflon,) and the new and unique Atlas (PTFE).
PEF (Foamed Polyethylene). The foaming process uses a blowing agent, of which there are two types. Atlas use the gas-foamed method which creates a more inert, consistent and higher quality product.
The table below shows the properties of a selection of dielectrics. Though not used as a dielectric in Atlas' cables, PVC is included for comparison purposes.

Some places take longer to deliver to but we still guarantee delivery within three working days by 5.30 PM.
For the Next Day Special Delivery service, orders must be received by futureshop.co.uk by 4.30pm weekdays. Orders after the 4.30pm deadline cannot be guaranteed for same day dispatch.
Please note, Royal Mail Special Delivery for next working day may not be possible where non-standard cable lengths are ordered. If this is the case, the item will be shipped via The Royal Mail Special Delivery service as soon as the cable is custom made.

Got to listen to this cable by default at local Hi Fi dealer.
I didn’t know the manifest cable or the price.
I have always used cables 10 x the price of this cable but it blew me away.
I still have a usb cable that cost circa £400 and keep and keep swooping cables.
It’s really amazes me how good this cable is for the money.

What a stunning cable. Wow. Decent quality usb cables are a totally unexpected game changer!
I had been using a chuck away usb cable for quite some time and thoroughly enjoying the results! I recently looked into bi wiring my system and refining everything where possible to eek the best results I possibly can. A pair of atlas hyper 3.5 jumper cables gave me a big jump in detail and solidity to my sound, but because I have subscribed to tidal and find myself steaming music a lot more I felt it would be important to investigate what I could do to improve the quality of sound when streaming music with hifi and mqa files.
After a lot of research and reading about usb cables and how they can improve the quality of sound quite considerably I opted to buy a jitterbug combined with the atlas cable...... not only have the detail and clarity vastly improved, the real surprise for me was how the cable seems to have enhanced the musicality of my system...... giving me a more involving, foot tapping experience! Just stunning.
I can not recommend this product enough...... and definitely use in conjunction with a jitterbug or 2! Amazing!

Quality cable. A big improvement over my previous 'audiophile' cable which I bought for a similar price. It is fairly flexible and light. The connectors themselves fit very well and giving them a good wiggling didn't affect contact.
Atlas USB cable is a great upgrade from the standa.....

Atlas USB cable is a great upgrade from the standard printer usb cable. Good, solid fit. Clearer sound, less mush. The differences between the 3 filter options from my Rega DAC-R were much better recognisable.
