QED Silver Anniversary XT Speaker Cable speaks for itself, a quality upgrade.

Notable from Futureshop is the termination. So well fitted, rock-solid connection with the QED airlock spade fittings. Also, I asked for the bare wire at the amp end, and it was beautifully done, not a single strand cut leaving the out casing 100% clear. The cut insulation was left on for shipping.

I was sceptical about purchasing an upgraded cable instead of a multi-strand OFC.

Immediately noticed a wider audible frequency range, particularly in the highs and the low-mids/upper-lows using Focal bookshelf speakers. The cables were more rigid than expected, but quite impressed with the spade/banana terminations.

With entry-level systems, it is especially hard to distinguish the sound; you can find other products if you just like heavy bass. But, you can be more 'Hi-Fi' like with this wire; high-quality silver wires enhance the precise (hit) and hardened (but reduced) bass.

This cable is the only option for silver wire in this budget. Most entry models find it hard to distinguish each instrument, but this cable help to reduce the body, so going to help hearing like precise(but a little tired) and hardened bass (feeling good but smaller sound)

By this, you can hear instruments clearly, a clear voice, etc. This wire is a good match for dull sound, soft sound system, silk/fabric dome tweeter and why this cable has been loved for over a decade.

It is a true classic from QED, which has been praised repeatedly for its incredibly balanced and detailed reproduction of music.

Well balanced sound with incredible clarity throughout the entire frequency range, although ever so slightly thin on top. Broad and deep soundstage.

Always used QED connection solutions for hi-fi needs, great detail and soundscape. I hooked up to my Dali Zensor 3 speakers and my Yamaha AX-9 amplifier.
