QED cables above 2.5mm2 cross sectional area utilize air core technology to obviate the skin effect by bundling several separately insulated smaller cores together to make up a larger CSA. If these conductors are arranged around a hollow central core of polyethylene the self inductance exhibited by the cable can be reduced to around half that predicted by calculation

Some places take longer to deliver to but we still guarantee delivery within three working days by 5.30 PM.
For the Next Day Special Delivery service, orders must be received by futureshop.co.uk by 4.30pm weekdays. Orders after the 4.30pm deadline cannot be guaranteed for same day dispatch.
Please note, Royal Mail Special Delivery for next working day may not be possible where non-standard cable lengths are ordered. If this is the case, the item will be shipped via The Royal Mail Special Delivery service as soon as the cable is custom made.

We accept orders from all Channel Islands including Alderney, Jersey, Guernsey and Sark. Please take note of the following details regarding our cable burn-in service:
- Cable Compatibility: We regret to inform you that we cannot burn-in cables with stripped bare ends or BFA plugs. In order for cables to undergo the burn-in process, they should be terminated or have connectors.
- Timing: Cables will be burnt in for the selected period after processing your order. For custom-length cables, the burn-in process will occur after they have been terminated by the manufacturer or our engineers unless specified otherwise in the product description.
- Availability: Future Shop provides our cable burn-in service free of charge, but its availability is at our discretion. While we strive to fulfil all burn-in requests for the specified time periods, please understand that during exceptionally busy periods, we may be unable to meet the demand due to limited connections on the Nordost Vidar cable conditioning machines.
The Nordost VIDAR cable burn-in machine integrates three key functions into one operation:
- Charge Neutralisation: It eliminates charges that accumulate around the cables and their insulation, ensuring a more balanced electrical environment.
- Deep Conditioning: The machine provides a wide band and deep conditioning process that affects the conductor core, resulting in changes to the signal transmission through the metal. This deep conditioning enhances the cable's performance.
- Ultrasonic Surface Conditioning: The VIDAR machine utilizes ultrasonic waves to condition the surface of the conductors, optimizing their contact and overall conductivity.
The VIDAR employs a proprietary combination of composite and complex signals to condition the cables. These signals comprise ultra-low and ultra-high frequencies, extending beyond the range of video frequencies. The signal moves back and forth along the cable, penetrating deep into the core with ultra-low frequencies and traversing the surface with ultra-high frequencies. This transmission method generates beat harmonics between the two complex waveforms, which permeate all layers of the cable. The circuitry of the VIDAR also drives electrons from the conductor into the insulation area, neutralizing electrical charges.

- Wide Bandwidth Frequencies: The conditioning affects how signals pass through the metal, enabling a wider range of frequencies to penetrate all cable layers.

I use QED Revelation Speaker Cable for my 2CH/HT setup, which performs very well. Terminated beautifully by FutureShop - the build quality of the cable and connectors is bettered by their sonic signature. Great clarity and punch with a nice soundstage and controlled bass.
I use Revelation speaker cables in my 3.2 channel system, driven by a Yamaha Aventage RX-A6A and Klipsch Reference Premier towers and centre channel. This speaker cable is a massive step up from a generic spooled speaker cable and a notable improvement over the entry-level Audioquest speaker cable that I was using before.

The QED Revelation looks like a chunkier QED Silver Anniversary XT speaker cable. Has the family sound too, but cures the former's main downfall in a higher-end system- a slightly forward midrange. The Revelation improves over the Silver Anniversary XT in all areas- the treble is more refined, extended and tight; the mid is fuller and more articulate, and the bass is more tactile though not noticeably deeper. Further running in may change that, though.
The QED Revelation outdoes my collection of old speaker cables from Cable Talk, Ixos, Monster (antique?!) and even Kimber. Very happy with these cables.

I bought the Genesis Silver Spiral Speaker Cable last time, but the speaker wilsonaudio CAB Model1 that I am using was a little confusing due to excessive bass. I have QED GSS for my B&W speakers and I bought the Revelation for my father to pair his JBL Studio 580. This cable brings his speakers more alive. It has better transparency, clearer sound stage, and tigher low. The cable is not hard to blend since there are tiny cuts alone the tube.

Service not satisfied because they put the closer forks even if I asked about info via email they told me that they were 10 mm instead I got the cables with those of 8 mm. Unusable cables, I put two stars only for the will of the return that I do not recommend visa the shipping costs with duties.

You may be surprised but this Revelation cable in an upgrade of more expensive QED xt400 ... how come? I contacted QED company asking for the advice what needs to upgraded in my system as I wasn’t quite happy with the sound. They said that my RCA cable needs an upgrade so I bought the amazing QED signature 40 (just stunning!) and they said that the xt400 needs to be upgraded to the revelation one. I was surprised but listened to their advice. First upgraded RCA and a week later this one.
RCA upgrade was something amazing and the revelation cable just add that needed finishing touch. It elevated the details , smoothness, bass control, all sounds just amazing. Probably the QED advised to upgrade xt400 as I use the stand mount speakers not a floor standers and revelation is designed for the high end bookshelf/ stand mount speakers . Don’t wait- buy with confidence- it’s going to be your best step to elevate your Hi-Fi to the next level. So happy to have the QED Revelation!
